Mattew Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 Hi all, i have a problem with my SnomOne. The internal numbers are correctly register on the Snom, but when I try to call other number, I get a 401 Authentication Required. Can I disable it? Thanks for the support Matteo Quote
Vodia PBX Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 You mean you can call internal extensions, but not outside numbers? Then you have a problem with the trunk--the password is not correct or the device/service provider expects the SIP headers in a different format. Quote
Mattew Posted August 2, 2013 Author Report Posted August 2, 2013 I'm sorry, I did not explain properly the scenario. I have two devices VoIP on the same LAN as the snom. A device Record the numbers from 101 to 108, the other records the numbers 301-308. A Call from 101 to 102 works correctly, but don't works with the call from the 301 to 302. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B3gYl0L7y7-dZmZfWXNrSWNBeG8/ in the attachment you can see the "401 Authentication" send from the snom. Thanks for the support Quote
Vodia PBX Posted August 2, 2013 Report Posted August 2, 2013 It seems that the call comes from a number that is an extension on the PBX. This has a higher priority that identifying a trunk. Change the number of the extension and then it should work. Quote
Mattew Posted August 5, 2013 Author Report Posted August 5, 2013 I tried to change the number, but the result remained the same. The problem is that after each INVITE, the Snom send me a "401 Unauthorized". Some devices can handle it others do not. Quote
Vodia PBX Posted August 5, 2013 Report Posted August 5, 2013 I assume that you have automatically provisioned the phones? Are they on the same IP address as your trunk? Quote
Mattew Posted August 6, 2013 Author Report Posted August 6, 2013 I assume that you have automatically provisioned the phones? Are they on the same IP address as your trunk? For the moment I don't have a Snom Telephone, I'm testing the scenario with Zoiper (PC) and another device that they are on the same LAN as the SNOM. Quote
Vodia PBX Posted August 6, 2013 Report Posted August 6, 2013 Well trying out is okay. When using trunks keep in mind that there is no magic flag on SIP packets and the PBX needs to figure our where the call comes from. Check out "How the System Identifies a Trunk" on http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Inbound_Calls. Quote
