  1. hi darcy

1st i am really wondering how the autoprovision works with the sipura/linksys SPA2102. i tried to configure it for days, called pbxnsip support. everybody told me this to crazy to get it running nicely. not even talking about the fax setup. would really love to hear more about this. if you could point me further please.

    2nd

i am having big troubles with 2 domains both having a trunk to callcentric that some with some incoming calles i dont hear the caller talking. he hears me though. (one way sound only)

also if i call form one domain the did of the other i get error messages from the gateway provider (in this case callcentric) as if the trunk would not be registered.

my pbx box is behind a firwall but has a dedicated ip address. not nated. the ip is mapped to the internal ip.

    any help appreciated!

    thanx

  2. our company just moved to google apps. this means we are using google mail for our mail service.

i am trying to setup pbxnsip to use smtp.gmail.com as an smtp server.

this is what my logs sais:

    250 ENHANCEDSTATUSCODES

    [8] 20080810142627: SMTP: Received 530 5.7.0 Must issue a STARTTLS command first. c9sm7995749ana.9

    [5] 20080810142627: SMTP Server returned 530

how can i configure pbxnsip to use secure authentication and port 587?

    thanx

  3. pbxnsip dialer for Apple AddressBook

this apple script lests you dial numbers directly form the address book on macosx tiger and leopard.

after installing you should have option 'Dial with Phone' when you click on a telephone number label.

    // INSTALLATION //

    1. download the script form here

    1. unzip and save it to:

    ~/Library/Address Book Plug-Ins/dialWithPbxnsip.scpt

    2. edit the properties acordingly to your setup. you can use script editor or any text editor

    3. restart address book

  4. I would be concerned. Especially about the "voice kernel" - what is that? Is the kernel aware that there is voice flowing through the network?

Apart from that, the errors seem to happen every few seconds. This will make it impossible to receive FAX, but having a normal audio conversation is still no problem. Maybe something simple like a bad cable.

after googeling around seems its the network adapter built into the mac mini.

    damn ggrrrrrrrrrr

  5. wow this is wired,

how i had my pbx and sip crash 2 times in 2 days during calls

  7. hi wim,

nice here is mine, it does some more things.

we should merge it and make the best script out there....

    • removes bad characters
    • stores login info into the os keychain and uses that (unfortunately show if the keychain has a lot of entries)
    • uses a curl instead of safari

    see script for more info

    edit:

go here to get the most recent version
