  1. Right now a CO line is bound to one trunk.

usually we have 2-3 sip trunks from different providers and a gateway which has 2 verizon lines.

i would love to hide this from the user. all he wants to see is:

    line 1, line 2, ....

would be amazing if we could configure the co lines per domain and not per trunk.

    what do you think?

  2. Hi reco: that's a bit strange. I've had the same problem but it works fine for me on 8.4.16. Can you give some detailed explanation of the scenario you've observed? Is it linked to a particular codec by any chance?

    hi BigBrother

    i nailed it down.

the issue only appears when both calls are from different trunks.

    all trunks are on G711.U

    reco

  3. did some more testing really funny this only happens with external calls coming from a trunk via a hunt group.

i dont use any special codes.

    phone is configured to g.722

    trunk is using g.711u

  4. issues i had so far with the upgrade:

    1. got random 404 on outgoing calls. needed to recreate my dial plans

    2. some trunks got deleted with the upgrade to the 4.x version

i expected this to be a bigger pain so rest went very smooth.

    EDIT:

    3. now i got a big one. after a reboot i got a message: wrong mac address.

    no trunk would register anymore.

tried to reapply my license key. got permanent license, valid license but trunks just did not register.

tried to re-register tunks. no change.

rebooted a couple times - no change.

got a demo license and used that one - worked.

put back my license - works again

    4. having problems to cancel/abort calls through the web interface - safari

this works now. this might have happened with the pbx being screwed up with the license.

    5. from time to time web interface gets very slow loading pages.

    6. dial plan acting wired. i am calling the same number form the same extension twice. one call gets a 404.

redialing the number a minute later works.

    reco

  5. check your provider cost 1st then configure your (dial plan preference) based on the least cost route.

My Provider sent me csv files with rates for each country/network. I for see my dial plan to ho have 10.000 entries and more if I go down that road.

    Any better idea?

  6. yeah i am using the carrier account.

so i am glad to report that it was an icall issue.

    here comes another questions:

icall wants 2 different registrations. one for domestic and one for international.

i did setup 2 trunks. is there away to have the trunks share the co lines? ideally this should be transparent for the end user.

    thanx
