I tried with the same version (2011-4.2.0.3973), and it worked (with Agent Group). Can you please post the log file here (with maximum loglevels)? In my log I see the following line: [8] 2011/01/28 17:21:00: ACD: All agents are unregistered. Send calls to 12345677899999

Which version do you have exactly? (Status -> General -> Version) Maybe you could check the "Dial plan for outbound calls", make sure the right dialplan is set.
