  1. I assume you were talking about calling into another domain using a name with "tel:" in the beginning. The "tel:" has been replaced with a "+" now and it really represents a global phone number.

What is your use-case? What are you doing when you are calling into another domain? Maybe there is a simple workaround in version 3.

do I need to use "+" instead for "tel:" ??

    My case is:

number 12345678 in domain "XX" is trying to call 87654321 in domain "YY" on the same server.

    That is no longer possible

  2. The background information is that domains are "mobile" in 3.0. Think about a server farm where you have 1000 domains, running on 100 servers, where you want to be able to move a domain from one server to another.

In this setup, you would use trunks from one domain to another, probably involving DNS to locate the other server.

I am so sorry to say.

    I simply do not understand!!

  3. We use Vitelity email to fax service and resell it, cheaper than running your own. we have used gfi software in past.

    Hi,

can we use our own SIP numbers at Vitelity ??

several customers all ready have a fax number that they want to use

  4. Hi,

Any one who can help me with fax to e-mail software (virtual fax software).

Several of our clients, want us to host their fax.

We have the fax number - when faxes are received, they just get an e-mail with the fax....

    Any one who can help??

  5. What OS is it? Is the OS behaving okay apart from that? Any other applications on that system? What about netstat when the system is not accepting anything any more?

Is there a firewall in front of the system? Maybe you can quickly run Wireshark when the problem occurs to see if there is anything strange. Also is there any way you can monitor the system with SNMP? Maybe watch the host and also the application (e.g. CPU usage, number of registrations).

the OS is perfect. And the second we downgrade to the previous PBXnSIP ver. everything works perfect.

I have been monitoring the server since the problems showed saturday.

    Nothing strange have been showing.

  6. Hi,

we are having problems with SNOM 320/360

We are missing the danish & german language when using auto prov. with PBXnSIP.

We can of course use the xml from SNOM on each but that is extreamly time demanding......

    Any one who have suggestions...???

BTW I saw a screenshot from a other customers PnP settings... where he could set up language (and so on) on phones directly from the PnP settings.... I do not have that option in my system. Any hint why it´s missing?

  7. Okay, what version are you on the PBX? Where exactly do you see that the extension is on DND in the web interface? Did you ever hit the save button on the DND web page?

    I am running 2.1.14.2498

Yes - when I have turned off the DND I have hit "save"

I see the DND status under "accounts" "Redirection for Extension"

  8. You see the DND status in the web interface changing without someone touching the phone? Do they have a good password set for the web interface? Maybe someone has some fun teasing you? Or can you trace the SIP traffic to the registered phones? Maybe they get bored and start calling the PBX when they are idling...

There is no little genie in the PBX that does things like that...

    We have tried everything.

The problem ONLY shows on ext. there are in an agent group.

The PW are very secure - and, nope, no one is teasing.

The second the ext. are moved from the agent group into a hunt group, the problem no longer excist.

  9. Maybe there is a speed dial somewhere for DND.

I would turn sending emails for status change on, then the user will get an email when the status changes. The user will tell you what he did in order to get this email ("I did nothing, just press this button").

I do not see how this will help, as I have two phones standing, not beeing used, and just by looking via the web-interface I can see they change status.....

  10. Normally the User = the extension number of the account which was auto provisioned and the password is the SIP password from the account.

If you don't hand out the SIP password then they will never enter the phone (unless they crack it)

I was thinking on "admin" on the phone.

After updating to 7.1.33 the phone says "admin password not set"

I would like that to be removed - to set the admin PW
