Phone numbers in Stage 1, 2 and 3

Are phone numbers permitted in Stage 1, 2 and 3 of a hunt group or are these fields limited to only extensions? Can I for example can I put my cell phone number in stage 1?

 

The documentation does not specifically state that stage 1, 2 and 3 are limited to only extensions but the description is worded such that it would seem that the only valid entry in stage 1, 2 and 3 are extension numbers and not phone numbers. Perhaps the documentation can be updated to clarify this.

If you want to include cell phones in hunt groups, you better use the extensions number and enable the cell phone forking in the extension setting.

 

For users that don't have extensions is it OK to just put the cell number in the various stages of the hunt group?

Yes. The PBX cannot know if a number is a cell phone number or old grandma phone with rotary dial pad!
