madyan
Hi, I am using Vodia PBX version 4.5.0. I know its an old version. I'm having trouble with voicemail's. I've set maximum voicemail duration to 5 Min. But every voicemail increased 1 minute and 30 seconds is not appearing in mailbox. Also If I set to receive voicemail through emails, in emails attachment shows 5 Bytes file or 10 Bytes .wav file. If message is less than 1 minute 30 seconds then it works fine for mailbox as well as emails. Please advise. Thanks
Vodia PBX
That is 90 seconds. It could be that this is the chunk size for the WAV file cache, which might not get flushed properly. You should make sure that the file system does not touch the file while it is being recorded. And there is a 4.5.1 version available, maybe you at least try upgrade to that one. You should also check if the SIP looks file. Maybe you get a media timeout problem after 90 seconds, which has nothing to do with the mailbox recording itself. madyan
If there is a media timeout problem I think it should effect to the calls as well. Does it make sense? There is no issue with the calls.
madyan
Also can you please explain what does it mean ''file system does not touch the file while it is being recorded''.
Vodia PBX
What you can do it so make a Wireshark trace of the call and verify it is not a problem with SIP. Maybe there is one-way audio and the PBX disconnects the media because of that. Regarding the file system, the PBX opens the file, writes something to it, closes it, waits then opens again, append, and close again. If you are using NFS, it will be a problem. madyan
Also I checked in "Recording" folder complete voice message exist with 168KB (01:45 Duration). While this message is not appearing in the mailbox and when it sent via email attachment shows size only 221 Bytes and unable to open this file. Please advise. Vodia PBX
I remember from the old days that there could be a problem with a race condition internally when notifying that the file is there (but the thread which is writing it did not do it yet). You might hit that problem. I would says if you cannot move to version 5 your best shot is to back up and try upgrade to 4.5.1.
