ahennis@voicespring.net
A feature was recently added to prevent users from reusing the same password. This is a great feature for end users but can be a hindrance for administrators. As the system administrator I am well aware of the importance of securing the system and proper passwords. There are times when I want to reuse a password and it would be nice to be able to do that. On a Unix system as the admin I have the ability to override and reuse a password. Would it be possible to allow this in some future version?
Vodia PBX
Right now it is checked regardless of who is trying to set it. We regularly run in the same problem on our test systems. In theory what we could do is check if the session belongs to a admin and then skip the check. Interestingly nobody else complained about it yet. ahennis@voicespring.net
I have just been dealing with it as a minor annoyance since it was implemented. It is really not that big of a deal but it would be nice if it could be changed in a future release.
