how does the "Permissions to monitor this account" feature work: in the extension, we have added extensions in the field but nothing changes

This is really about the permissions, mostly "dialog state" (BLF). For example you might be able to set up BLF button on the front end, but if the permissions get denied, the subscription will fail.
