dtasia
we are using 63.0.5 and find that when a new snom D785 is auto provisioned we no longer get the Vodia background picture. the snom identity shows that user picture url is https://vodia.com:443/prov/snom_thumb-00041392CD39.jpg and the xml in Vodia shows the same <user_pic idx="1" perm="RW">https://vodia.com:443/prov/snom_thumb-00041392CD39.jpg</user_pic> however, the screen is blank? this used to work on earlier Vodia versions? Vodia PBX
That is the image that the user has uploaded as picture for that extension. The background images are problematic. What we (and most customers want) is to upload the logo that is used as co-brand on the phones. What snom and most other phone vendors offer right now is uploading the background image. If we upload the background image, it usually breaks the whole screen look - badly. We suggested to add a feature to load a brand logo, so that the phone can handle the positioning on the various screens with the right resolution and position. We have not heard back about this yet but I think it makes so much sense that it is only a question of time until the phone vendors add this. dtasia
We are having issues with custom logos loading onto the SNOM 785’s. We load the image into the portal, get a green tick and then we go back the image is no where to be found. Any tips? This used to operate correctly. Any update from snom and others? Vodia PBX
I would check if the URL <custom_bg_image_url> is set to something that makes sense. If you load a SVG into the domain portal, it should automatically generate something that is useful for the 785. On of the big challenges with the snom is that it keeps the background image across all screens, so that even when you dial a number it is still there and it is very hard to come up with an image that looks reasonably good everywhere. That is why we use a "watermark" image with the logo very faint. If anybody has a better idea we would be open to it.
dtasia
The issue at this time is that the svg image is not being loaded into the Vodia PBX. we upload the image and get the green tick. However, if we refresh the page or go away and come back to that page the image is unavailable.
dtasia
we are using 64.1 CentOs 64 and under a domain we go to Logo Upload. In the Generate Images from svg we clicked on image and uploaded the same image to Dark and light. However, when we try and save this is greyed out and a bar across the save button. If we try to upload images in the upload separate images they are uploaded and we can click on save, however, when we refresh the screen they all disappear? logo-darleyst1.svg
Vodia PBX
We need two background image set - for dark background and for light background. Most phones have a fixed scheme (Cisco 88xx figures this out automatically) where only dark or light images look good. That is why we require uploading different background images or choosing different background colors. If you don't upload the images the save button will be disabled. BTW it seems that this is also becoming the norm for cell phones where the app designers also need to deal with night mode.
