2ip
Hello all I have a Snom one plus in the DMZ of an ADSL internet access. On another ADSL internet access I have two Snom 821 and I'm trying for the last two days to make it work. Here's the log on the PBX: [5] 2011/10/01 00:50:38: SIP Rx udp:84.253.63.189:5060: REGISTER sip:bieri.homeip.net SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 84.253.63.189:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-ticbkpxlry9d;rport From: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net>;tag=6vo4oardly To: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net> Call-ID: 2a70263c7f32-8wg7bhkjtxpo CSeq: 2 REGISTER Max-Forwards: 70 Contact: <sip:81@84.253.63.189:5060>;reg-id=1;q=1.0;+sip.instance="<urn:uuid:793c7e1a-3934-4341-8f54-000413456FB4>";audio;mobility="fixed";duplex="full";description="snom821";actor="principal";events="dialog";methods="INVITE,ACK,CANCEL,BYE,REFER,OPTIONS,NOTIFY,SUBSCRIBE,PRACK,MESSAGE,INFO" User-Agent: snom821/8.4.32 Allow-Events: dialog X-Real-IP: 192.168.10.32 Supported: path, gruu Expires: 3600 Content-Length: 0 [9] 2011/10/01 00:50:38: Resolve 54: aaaa udp 84.253.63.189 5060 [9] 2011/10/01 00:50:38: Resolve 54: a udp 84.253.63.189 5060 [9] 2011/10/01 00:50:38: Resolve 54: udp 84.253.63.189 5060 [5] 2011/10/01 00:50:38: SIP Tx udp:84.253.63.189:5060: SIP/2.0 200 Ok Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 84.253.63.189:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-ticbkpxlry9d;rport=5060 From: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net>;tag=6vo4oardly To: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net>;tag=00bdd21d2d Call-ID: 2a70263c7f32-8wg7bhkjtxpo CSeq: 2 REGISTER Contact: <sip:81@84.253.63.189:5060>;expires=62 Supported: path Content-Length: 0 [5] 2011/10/01 00:50:39: SIP Rx udp:84.253.63.189:5060: REGISTER sip:bieri.homeip.net SIP/2.0 Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 84.253.63.189:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-ticbkpxlry9d;rport From: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net>;tag=6vo4oardly To: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net> Call-ID: 2a70263c7f32-8wg7bhkjtxpo CSeq: 2 REGISTER Max-Forwards: 70 Contact: <sip:81@84.253.63.189:5060>;reg-id=1;q=1.0;+sip.instance="<urn:uuid:793c7e1a-3934-4341-8f54-000413456FB4>";audio;mobility="fixed";duplex="full";description="snom821";actor="principal";events="dialog";methods="INVITE,ACK,CANCEL,BYE,REFER,OPTIONS,NOTIFY,SUBSCRIBE,PRACK,MESSAGE,INFO" User-Agent: snom821/8.4.32 Allow-Events: dialog X-Real-IP: 192.168.10.32 Supported: path, gruu Expires: 3600 Content-Length: 0 [5] 2011/10/01 00:50:39: SIP Tr udp:84.253.63.189:5060: SIP/2.0 200 Ok Via: SIP/2.0/UDP 84.253.63.189:5060;branch=z9hG4bK-ticbkpxlry9d;rport=5060 From: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net>;tag=6vo4oardly To: "Naruto Uzomaki" <sip:81@bieri.homeip.net>;tag=00bdd21d2d Call-ID: 2a70263c7f32-8wg7bhkjtxpo CSeq: 2 REGISTER Contact: <sip:81@84.253.63.189:5060>;expires=62 Supported: path Content-Length: 0 [9] 2011/10/01 00:50:39: Message repetition, packet dropped The log of the Snom 821 just gives me the register, not the 200 ok. pbx support
Check out if the 200 OK is being blocked / dropped by the network.
2ip
Sorry my stupid question, but do I have to do port forwarding on the phone side? I read in another thread that you don't have to do so. Is this correct? According to your question I assume the SIP messages are looking fine. At least something.. Another question, why can't I access the Snom GUI over the internet? It's somehow just working from the internal network. Is this somehow blocked, I couldn't find the access rules.. Thanks for your help. Stefan
Vodia PBX
(1) Do not use STUN on the phone. Use PnP instead. (2) Do not use a firewall that wants to be smart, but that is not.
2ip
I guess Starbucks or any other shop with free Wifi doesn't allow PnP. So a SIP Phone doesn't work in such environments?

Is this a good example of where a "SIP IP replacement list" should be setup? http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=SIP_Ports Example 192.168.1.1/209.65.27.

But it doesn't answer my question.
Vodia PBX
You can also use PnP in Starbucks. But you need to manually put in the provisioning URL, the username and the password. Then the phone will pull down the configuration over the internet and all settings are fine (at least a working starting point). This will save you a lot of time for try & error. The URL that you need to copy into the settings server of the PBX is here: http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Plug_and_Play.
