vgrega
Hello, We have found a problem in documentation (or) firmware of SNOM 710 (language definition). Provisioning for Slovenian language must be set differently with various firmware versions. Documentation states same as firmware 8.7.3.8 (preloaded on the phone) but in the latest firmware 8.7.3.15 (updated firmware from SNOM web) this is different. Firmware: SNOM 710 - 8.7.3.8:
Firmware: SNOM 710 - 8.7.3.15:
Documentation: http://wiki.snom.com/Settings/language -
Is this a problem with documentation or firmware. For me it is a problem since my template editor always changes UTF to some other format so I have to replace language every time general_custom.xml template is edited (for 8.7.3.15). Thank you and best regards, Gregor
Vodia PBX
Thanks for the heads up. Seems like the phone now wants the language selection in the "local" language (not English). I think this will be very useful for our Japanese and Chinese customers , but it will be difficult for us to tell them apart... Generally in the PBX, we try to keep everything on UTF-8. The browser should do right (at least in theory); maybe you don't need an external editor.
