Moving from VM to VM

In our previous phone system after leaving a message for a user you could hit *T to transfer to another ext, this way if you called in you could leave a message for someone and still try to get to another user without having to call back. I can't find this type of feature, is it available?

Thank you,

Michael Webb

What you can do is to define the "mailbox escape account" on either domain or extension level. If you point it to an auto attendant, callers can go there after leaving a VM message (after pressing #). Then they can dial whatever they like.

Is there any way to define a * code or something like that. The problem is that if we define a AA as an MB Escape and users over-ride the domain setting as many of them do then this is not consistent. We would like to be able to tell everyone to hit xxx to go to another mailbox. Oour old system was *T or *7 for transfer.

Thanks,

Michael

Well, they can hit *0, the star is just being ignored though.
