Is there a way to indicate ext's pbxnsip dnd status?
mattlandis replied to mattlandis's topic in PAC and WAC
I see on another post that DND status can be shown by lighting the phones BLF lamp. Good idea. Also, I was at the pbxnsip training and heard that to make a pragmatic phone system you can't always adhere strictly to IETF.(?) I thot i heard that... ;-) Not a big deal. thanks for the input, matt -
hi, ok, i see i wasn't so incredibly dumb wanting an indication of other phone's DND status! ;-) good idea to light the blf. gives the idea that the phone is busy. So this is supposed to work in the latest? tx matt

should I try to put my fax inside pbxnsip network?
mattlandis replied to mattlandis's topic in Auto Attendant Setup
Ok, got the incoming fax going to fax machine. audiocodes mp114 --> pbnxsip (F code in AA) --> patton m-ata --> hpfaxmachine. Call does go thru the whole way to the fax machine. The fax machine says "answering" but never does. Any ideas? tx matt -
Ok, wasnt sure how that is. matt

Hi, Just curious how others test to make sure the 911 dial plan and emails and all work like they should? (I don't want to be calling 911) tx matt

When you log in as admin and click on list of accounts you can see the DND status by the big red X. Something like this available on the PAC or usser portal might be nice...thinking out loud. matt

I saw these features on the cs410 edition... Didn't check with win yet. matt

Hi Isaac, I think I tested this out ok but I will again just to verify. I thot it did work just like pbxnsip said. tx matt

My opinion is that the PAC could show the DND status of other phones. matt

Hi, First I should say I only recommend snom phones and really like them. I have to agree with the record button...i think it differentiates the snom. Also, i thot the 820 looks a lot like the linksys form factor...(which incidentally i don't like. ;-( But I did get to play with an 820 and they do feel nice with a brilliant color display. Miss all the blf though. matt

Hi, Service Flag (day/night) Should I be able to manually toggle from an extension? For example, I'm dialing 79 from extension 40 (on default setup) and I hear the toggle tone, but in the list the status stays to "Set". I've given 40 permission to monitor on 79 but still doesn't change it. thanks, matt

I'll give that a try. I have a patton m-ata I'll use. Thanks for the input, matt -
Hi, Just wanted to give some feedback on v3.2.0.3143 -NICE Calls graph that gives call total over time (this is a graph i thot would be nice for awhile) -thanks for putting the current time on the status screen (that was quick!) -the new email tab gives a lot of nice notifications. Thanks, matt

Hi, Ok, just had the cs410 running overnight. Once again the LAN port failed to respond after approx. 10 minutes...but i left the cs410 run overnight. This morning on a whim I plug the cat5 cable into the WAN port and it works... So...a faulty LAN port? matt
-
HI, I'm not linux so you may need to explain what top is. tx matt

Hello, I have the same problem that the cs410 will run for a couple minutes then I can't even ping it. Seems like 10 minutes or less. After a reboot it works for about 10 minutes and becomes unpingable again. (initially i also noticed that i needed to plug the cat5 cable into the WAN port for the unit to get an ip via dhcp.) its a black unit. Just got it. I upgraded it to the latest firmware/image. matt

Maybe if we ask nicely pbxnsip will finish it up? ;-) (the xlite presence nearly works too and when it does i'm pretty impressed) At this moment I don't need it but i can see clients asking for it and it would be nice to have it working. matt

If you find out more about it, please post it here. If that is to ms sql that is indeed a very good thing. Then we can use sql reporting sevices to get some very nice reports. I emailed and they didn't know what i wanted. ;-) tx matt

What are their hardest to overcome selling points? We are a datacom company moving into telecom so I'm trying to get the background stuff. I think we understand the SMB (small medium biz) requirements in most ways and see pbxnsip as filling the "keysystem" issues pretty well. tx matt

OCS - pbxnsip Integration: Feedback on live installs?
mattlandis replied to mattlandis's topic in Microsoft OCS
Hi Jan, I expected you might reply. ;-) thanks. >>your first test setup might be suprisingly easy and painless, like the whole administrative part of pbxnsip. After using several other pc based ippbx's I am amazed at the ease of use, smooth operation and stability of pbxnsip. We have been a snom and microsoft shop for some time so pbxnsip seems to be a good fit. Yes, you answered my question well. Thanks, matt
