  1. Hello, I'm wondering if IVR could be made to playback a recording? for example: recordings named 0001.wav, 0002.wav, etc. are in a certain folder. Caller calls in and prompt says "Press your recording number" and it playsback the corresponding recording. Is something like that possible without writing code? thanks! matt
  2. hi, I'd have to test to be certain those stages work... in pbxnsip you can type an extension number in instead of selecting from a drop down. This is nice because of flexibility but there might be some ambiguity as to when an external number can be used... matt
  3. Carl, I really appreciate that input. I'm kind of thinking to stick Patton across the board. (and bite the bullet on the price ;-) matt
  4. Hi, I've never used a PRI yet. Have a customer that has a bunch of dialup modems he needs (to dialup to special systems). What can work in this senario? tx matt
  5. Hunt groups can include external numbers. (unlike 3cx) matt
  6. Look better than faxback? i can't pick out the price... hmmm matt
  7. Not a problem...now i know how it works! ;-) matt
  8. Juan, I think sip to skype gateways may be "less needed" with the advent of skype's builtin support of sip. (currently in beta). http://www.skypeforsip.com/ The methods used for 3cx in theory should work in pbxnsip too. Like: http://www.nch.com.au/skypetosip/index.html Igor Snezhko has written a detailed instruction on how to set this up with siptheeskype (i believe) matt
  9. I don't know that answer to that problem. But I've been looking for some feedback on the grandstream appliance. Would you be willing to give some? (not to hijack this post) tx matt
  10. I'm trying to figure out why you make it hard for yourself? (by not registering remote phones) is there a reason you don't want to register the remote phones? You can type the mobile phone # in the extension. Then when the mobile phone calls to the phonesystem they can get voicemail. Is this what you want? tx matt
  11. I've asked this not too long ago and it wasn't then...but lets hear from pbxnsip...hopefully! matt
  12. Maybe i'm missing something simple. I have 3.2.0.3144 If I add a contact as a blacklisted contact (i'm addding ext. 175). Now i go into redirection for extention 300 and set it to: Incoming anonymous calls: ask for name Now from ext 175 i call 300. the call goes thru. Am I missing something? tx matt
  13. I just revisited testing pac v3 and IM function doesn't appear to work--can anyone else verify whether this is works for them? -also, i get very slow load of the extension screen. like 5-10 seconds...sometimes it hangs...is this normal? this is not an emergency as i use v3 myself but just checking what progress is with pac v3... thanks all matt
  14. Hi, How many extensions will you need to do this with? matt
  15. We had very good success with patton 4114 with 3cx. and didn't get a chance to try it with pbxnsip yet. (only 4 port though) We tried audiocodes mp114 with pbxnsip and have some issues with call volume. audiocodes has 8 port but from my experience i am leaning to standardize on patton. matt
  16. Rudi, i doubt your existing clients will loose features. (pbxnsip chime in) only new ones...and my guess is that if you pay current price you will get similar features... just my assumptions but maybe pbxnsip can clarify. matt
  17. Hello, We normally are selling sip trunks with ip pbx's. Now we have some people wanting to try tip trunks with legacy/analog phone systems that are now connecting via pstn. What do you fellows suggest for this? I see audiocodes suggests a mp11x fxo (or mediant 1000 for T1/PRI)... Then I see broadvox suggests IAD... I'd like to hear what works for you. thanks matt
  18. Joso, Are you using the snom320 conference button? If so, try using the pbxnsip conference. I'd like to hear what that does. We use the conference (pbxnsip) quite a bit in house and some externally and I don't think we are hearing that. matt
  19. Lucas, You are actually setting up a complete other 3cx ip pbx to do this? wow. seems like maintaining both systems would be a bit... matt
  20. oops...sorry for the "jumping the gun". ;-) matt
  21. Nice comparison: http://www.pbxnsip.com/phone-system/pbxnsip-basic-ip-pbx.php And I see new product names... office basic, pro , pro plus...hmm matt
  22. Installing pbxnsip does NOT install a softphone. You download and install that seperately. tx matt
