  1. hi, all the snom files that were required were automatically in place for me. and my snom360 phones provisioned fine first go. matt
  2. Hi, I'm very interested in the OCS integration. I would have interest in hearing feedback from those using it live. How smooth? Are there bumps/gotchas to watch out for? does it work well in SMB? thanks, matt
  3. hey, it works now...dunno what i did. wow...that works nice... thanks matt
  4. I don't have that setting. I am on an older version. see my ver above. tx matt
  5. My experience has been if you want to have all features work on a sip phone, sometimes you have to limit what phone you buy. Advanced features=advanced phone? Something like that. I've found that snom seems to utilize advanced features the most universally. (in differenct soft ip pbxes) My finding. matt
  6. Hi, I have a callcenter license. (according to kevin) I have Version: 3.1.2.3120 (Win32) . I have set ext. 101 to be administrator and have given ext. 101 supervision permissions. (all set to on) In all the trunks i have put 101 in "Permissions to monitor this account:" In the account (175) I want to monitor i have 101 in "Permissions to monitor this account:" Now when ext 175 is on the phone I dial *83 (i've also tried *83175) on ext 101. I get "this feature is not available at this time" message. What am I missing? matt
  7. hi, I am confused...now the presence stopped working again after working several hours this afternoon... it works for a couple minutes and stops... matt
  8. I should say there appears to be one final issue with xlite/pbxnsip. When xlite goes into idle detect, after that it appears that presence stops indicating right untill xlite reregistered. Otherwise its fine. matt ps-let me add to my finding: it appears if xlite is in the autodetect and goes idle status and is there for several minutes it stops showing status and needs to be restarted (sip re-registered)
  9. HI, With pbxnsip help I've gotten xlite presence to work and that partially fills the need to indicate DND status... But for those not ussing xlite it might be nice if PAC would indicate pbxnsip extension DND status... a suggestion. matt
  10. Its been working for 25 minutes now so I'm going to presume it WORKS. I would like to say a very appreciative THANKS. I would like to say that the DND question I asked isn't nearly soo important now that xlite presence works because setting DND on the xlite lets everyone know via presence that phone is DND. Once again, I'm impressed with pbxnsip and thanks. matt
  11. I'm testing that config... (i'm hopeful, as it went 5 minutes and still works... ;-) BTW: VERY nice, clear, straightforward WIKI article... matt
  12. hi, Is there a way to indicate ext's pbxnsip dnd status to other users? prefereably on the PAC. matt
  13. Hi, we have a day/night flag. if i dial its account # 76 it does NOT change the flag. (although it gives the audio indication that it did change) matt
  14. Hi, Thanks for that input. This is my design: pstn phone line #xxx-xxxx ---> patton4114 pstn gateway ---> pbxnsip ---> patton m-ata ----> fax machine -we want to use fax machine for incoming and outgoing faxes -when fax machine not in use we use that line for calls Do we setup in patton4114 pstn gatway to send the fax it detects to patton m-ata? or do we detect fax in pbxnsip ivr? tx matt
  15. Hi, We have a patton 4114 gateway and 4 pstn lines. 1 of those is ocassionally used by our fax machine. (a true fax machine someone can walk up to) We need to keep the fax machine. Will I fiddle a lot or can i get a t.38 fxs/ata and have the AA detect and forward to fax machine? Also outgoing faxes? Would be nice but I don't want to fiddle and fiddle. Also, does someone have ATA/fXS they recommend? (I would use a patton m-ata, if no suggestions) thanks for your very valued opnion, matt
  16. Hi, thanks for that reply. I'll admit i can't lay my eyes on the 8minute +/- indication? probably me... I would suggest the pbxnsip server time be somewhere on the status page as a feature request. That way you know if your night mode will kick in at the right time and other reasons... thanks, matt
  17. I agree with this. But...maybe i'm overlooking where it is? tx matt
  18. Hi, Thanks for that info. How do I "unlock" that file? Seems like that limits the ability to give real/or semi-real time stats on the phone system? thanks, Matt
  19. No, it does not get idle. It just stops indicating correctly. Testing this requires only one xlite. Setup the xlite correctly, add YOURSELF as a contact. (change the availabliity and watch it change down in the contacts to make sure it works) Change it a couple times to verify to your self it works...now wait several minutes and change it....it will not change down in the contact list. (watch 3-5 minutes...upon further testing it now has been working for 6 minutes and counting...seems random when it stops...) I'm not sure who is dropping the ball: us or xlite? On presence: For remote users this is not micky mouse...it can save time...why bother calling, waiting till vm answers if the person isn't even there or on the phone? Same with IM, why IM him if he's out shoveling snow? ;-) (and remember xlite has nice privacy features for those you DONT want to show availability ;-) I think we are pretty close to having working presence. Thanks matt
  20. i thot it was after xlite presence idle timeout, but i set it to 1440 minutes and still stopped showing presence after several minutes... If I reregister sip (or log off/on xlite) it will indicate for a few minutes again. matt
  21. Yes, If i have the person as a contact in xlite, and have "show the contacts availablility" the presense works for a couple minutes then stops... matt
  22. I've done this but I can't access the resulting file because it is always in use. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Matt
  23. Hi, I am impressed that pbxnsip does instant messaging. The xlite client is pretty nice for a simple messaging. Only thing I wish for is that it would allow group chat (back and forth between a group). But It makes a nice, simple SMB chat server that can grow into pbx deal. But presence would be nice. matt
  24. Hi, I've used phonetag but never heard of youmail. Thanks for the tip. matt
  25. THANKS. I didn't need to use a failover code in the previous system I used but that makes perfect sense. thanks, matt
