i was just wondering if Grandstream was set up the same way, as i have been told that Yealink LDAP does work on newer phones but the Grandstream does not. Is there a Grandstream favourite.xml file like with the Yealink phones.

I looked through the yealink_common.txt file again, and i dont see any reference to yealink_favorite.xml file, so i am stumped at this point.

i dont really know, as it says that the the pnp file is limited to 2k, so i have really no idea as there are no logs after a certain point. I have the same issue for dial now and logo/wallpaper.

Any suggestions, as the phone book is empty.

There are no phonebook entries now in a Yealink or Grandstream phone  I have looked at the LDAP setting on a actual Yealink phone, and it appears to be provisioned for LDAP and enabled; yet, there are no contacts in the directory. I have looked at the directory for Local, Remote and LDAP and there is nothing.

Please advise.

I have been searching for this question or info, but cannot seem to find it. Our customer would like to have all the domain contacts (ie John  Smith ext. 222 etc) published to his phone. Is there a way that the phone could pick up this information from Vodia.

Is the only way to do this, is to maintain an active list of extensions manually, and then load them into the phone book, and then format them again, and manually import them into each phone.

Surely there must be a better way than what i have described.

Thanks for quick reply and suggestion about upgrading, which needs to be done. Although i need to test caller id as i received other posts where people have concerns about this since the upgrade.

In the mean time, this is what i did to change the file:

#Configure the logo mode of the LCD screen; 0-Disabled (default), 1-System logo, 2-Custom logo;

My questions remain, we have three phone models, old T22P and T28P, and a new T29G, which is colour. How do i set it up to load 3 different sizes and one with colour.

Do  i still need a .dob file, as per the Yealink website

How do i set this up for some phones in the domain, as some phones will be loaded with these changes and some wont, according to their location preferences.

I hope these questions arent rudimentary but we have always used our own system for provisioning but would like to start using Vodia.

Could someone help clarify how to provide different logos for different screen sizes as well as monochrome and colour for the different types of Yealink phones.

Also it says in the Yealink doc that it has to be a .dob file, but it doesnt refer to it in the Vodia examples.

Most phones have the ability to register to primary and second sip servers, so i am not sure if that what this question is regarding, as it is not clear by the question or the response.

I was able to get it to work without the ^.

i wanted to the same thing for Carribbean countries using the NANPA dialling plan, (ie 1340xxxxxxx 1268xxxxxxx etc, but i cannot apply the same logic.

Any ideas for that, as it is a little simpler as there are always 7 digits after the area code. I want to create a separate entry for those dial codes as i would like to treat them differently.

thanks for the reply, where would i find that documentation. The issue with your suggestion is that it doesnt work if someone types in any more digits after 01153, as we would allow 011 calls to non prohibited countries, and 01153|01154 wouldnt block anything.  Please understand this is to prevent further hacking from non legitimate customers who have figured out to hack into the pbx and make calls. The issue is that each country is different for the amount of digits that are dialled after the country code, and some countries it is different length of digits within that country.

So i need something 011 (2 or 3 digit country code) (5 to 13 local number). And multiple entries per line .

I have 90 of them, and they are at the top, so that it makes management of everyday dial plan issues very cumbersone. I was hoping to put everything on one line.

I was wondering if someone could suggest how to put together a dialing plan for a number of specific country codes (ie Cuba, Somalia and other scam country codes) and block them.

We use 011 for international calling, however the country code length differs (ie 2 or 3 digits) and the number of local calling digits differs greatly  (minimum of 5 and max of 15 according to what i think i read from the ITU)

I can do it easily for unwanted 1+ dialing as 10 digits easily follow, and just use XXXX. What i dont know how to do it set it up so the NOT ALLOWED list are only calls to those specific country codes, unless i do a separate entry for each country code, which becomes unwieldly.

I dont even need a replacement value as they are simply NOT ALLOWED.

Any and a quick response would be kindly appreciated.

A sample below is what i have tried but it doesnt work, as sometimes i can get it to block a Cuba call, for example, but every other international destination starting with 5.

We are doing that now and all it is is a replication of the first button. What we would like to have a button for every caller in the queue? We need any available methods to notify manage

Is there any way to show multiple calls on an agent group. We have a added a BLF button to phone, but it obviously doesnt show us the status if there are two calls.

 

Therefore we added another button, but it only reflects if that button is busy.

 

Would there be a way of showing the status of each call separately, this has come up do to another problem.

People do it out of habit, or they copied and pasted, and it is certainly easier to read than all numbers. However, these all do need to removed, as you already remove spaces by default...

 

You need to leave the + alone, as removing it will work when it is +15555551212 but doesnt work if is +442075551212, as i dont believe there is a standard to the amount of digits that follow a country code, and now we have 3 digit country codes, so that is best left to handled in the dial plan.

 

Either way, it works when calling from their phone using the native phone dialler but wont work when using a sip dilaller if they are calling from their phone book.
