When I "copy" a message to another mailbox via using key "6" I am precluded from continuing with my call and listening to my remaining messages as my phone sorta locks up. Is this normal? Thanks.
i have also had trouble when pressing other function keys during a voicemail that the audio becomes garbled until i hang up and call back.

Is the hearing limited to the Aastra handsets? That would be very strange. If you can get a wireshark trace it should be possible to see what is going on on the media level. Filter for the IP address during the capture, then we don't have to screen MB of data.
yes it is limited to the Aastra handsets...the ppl on the other end of the phone do not hear the beeping.

HI;
i am having a weird issue in an enviornment that has 20 Aatra 480i's and three Polycoms, the polycoms work fine but the users using the Aastras have an issue where they will hear beeping like someone is pressing buttons on their phone even though the person on the other end of the call cannot hear it.
i tried upgrading firmware to latest version but it didnt help!
any help would be greatly appreciated.

i am registering an Asterisk PBX to the phone system and it is registering just fine however the users on the Asterisk PBX are complaining of alot of static and calls dropping all the time.
are there any additional steps i should take to get this fixed? i have regular phones registered using the same trunk that are having no issues at all.

i am trying to register my phone using PNP but am having an issue where it goes through the entire process but after showing "Processing Config" screen with the IP address it comes back with the error: "Config Eror Code 0x0"
has anyone seen this before? i am using the latest version of pbxnsip.
yes i have tried changing Firmware/Bootrom etc!

First you have to unlock the page to make the appearance tab visible. Take a look at this page

You do not need to reboot after this change.

Is the phone registered to the PBX now or still not registered? Based on the log, phone is provisioned ok but few features will not be available.
NOT REGISTERED. when i pickup phone it says URL call is disabled.

Hmm. Do you see the generated files in the PBX "generated" directory? Do they make sense (e.g. do you see the account info in the polycom_phone file)?
Can you format the phone's file system and reset the local settings? Sometimes that helps, though it does take a lot of patience to go through all these updates.
i am using a CS410...i have been here for 5 hours already and tried every step...i formatted all file systems reset local config etc...still nothing doing.
pls look at updated logfile after trying http download.
it seems the only issue we are having it the cfg file/license file from pbx to phone.....
should i try downgrading version of pbx?

already upgraded to 4.0 but still not working..this is a new location and i am registering the phones locally to the pbx.

Looks like you are using the wrong boot rom? Should be something starting with 4.
Also, if you are using the phone from a remote location, make sure that you are using HTTP. TFTP is not very NAT-friendly!

HI;
i am using version .3143 of pbxnsip on a cs410 and want to change the appearance settings however when i go to the address listed on the wiki page
http://wiki.pbxnsip.com/index.php/Changing_the_Appearance it does not change anything.
i have tried twice and rebooted the system but do not find the appearance tab anywhere,
please advise asap

i am having the same problem. The IT admin assigned a local ip to the phone system and has a static IP forwarding to it but i cannot get the Polycoms to register with PLugNPlay and the snom phonen that i registered manually has no audio either way.
the IT admin swears that he has all ports opened to and from the pbx....
any help?

Dear Members,
how to upload soundfiles instead of recording them through phone? This can be easily done for Auto Attendands (Tab "IVR"), but obviously not for the up to 10 different messages for the waiting queues. Any workaround?

Hi, FOr now the only way to do it is to record a 1second clip and then go into the file folder on the pbx and overwrite the file with the wav file you want to use for that greeting.

I am running the pbx process as root. I do not see anything in the recordings directory.
do you have in the voicemail tab the option to delete the message? maybe it is sending via email and then deleting from the system?

this error is normal, i though. if that bootrom already exists on the polycom it will cancel the download. so it doesnt need to download it.
if you are at the location of the remote user open a DOS prompt and try to tftp the file to your laptop. this will tell if it its a NAT problem.

For remote devices, you usually have to use HTTP because TFTP is not a very NAT-friendly protocol. See http://wiki.pbxnsip.com/index.php/Polycom#...ng_Provisioning on how to do that.

i have 20 Aastra 480i's in perfect condition for sale...i bought them for a client of mine who wanted to go for a cheaper phone and then once we had them all setup decided that he wanted Polycoms...i am now stuck with them so if anyone wants to make an offer for all or some of them please let me know.
