JWoods Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 I have a client that has the cs410 and is running pbxNsip throughout their business, but for some reason, they can't get caller ID. After resetting the box, they get around 5% of the calls coming in to be on caller ID, but that is it... I don't even know where to start in trying to figure out why they don't get caller ID. Does anyone know of something I could troubleshoot? Thanks! --Jeff Quote
mattlandis Posted January 5, 2010 Report Posted January 5, 2010 i'm not expert on cs410---but isn't there a setting on the fxo--something about wait longer to answer/ring longer to get caller id safely? very foggy in my mind... Matt Quote
Vodia PBX Posted January 10, 2010 Report Posted January 10, 2010 If you sometimes get Caller-ID, then it is probably an analog problem. The CS410 FXO gateway is not very good when the signal is noisy or low. I remember there is some equipment out there that amplifies it so that the signal is clear, you might want to consider this. Thanks for the tip. I will look into it, but the client bought the extended warranty on it, so we have had tech support in there all weekend trying to fix it, so if they tell me what they did, I will be sure to pass it along.
