i tried the new 4.x software. seems it set a new administration pin on my phones.

i cannot access them anymore. what would be the default pin?

i tried:

 

  • 0000
  • 1234
  • 0123
  • admin
  • administrator
  • password

Well, the PBX chooses a random PIN after startup. Otherwise, the PIN would be an "open secret", in other words: no secret. But of course you can set it with whatever you consider safe and secure.

 

If you have file system access, you find the PIN in the domain XML file.

Standard procedure when installing snom ONE/ v4.x:

#1-install snom ONE

#2-set the Administrator credentials (user/pw/pin)

#3-now provision and/or restart the existing phone handsets

 

They will now be provisioned with the new credentials and you will be able to login.

This is possible to do entirely without being onsite.
