broz
Hello there. I have a problem. When ever I restart the snomOne server, sometimes the snomOne service/software refuses to restart. Is there a way to fix this?
Vodia PBX
Probably either the SIP ports (5060, 5061) or the HTTP ports (80, 443) or LDAP ports (389) is blocked by another service running on the same host. Use netstat to check if the ports are blocked.
pbx support
I am assuming you are using a non-windows system. On these systems, OS holds some of the the "required" ports for 30-60 seconds after the PBX is stopped. The pbx_startup_err.txt should tell you which port is still in use. So, if you start the PBX after a while, say 60 seconds, you should be all set. (of course you can check the availability of ports as suggested using netstat command before starting the PBX). broz
The system is actually a windows XP.
pbx support
The pbx_startup_err.txt will be written on windows XP too if there was a port conflict.
broz
Think I found the culprit that was running on 5060. Thanks for the advice.
mattlandis
snom: could the windows service pop a message that says: "Port xx conflict. Please take these action" and place event log in windows event log if it crashes? http://snomone.ideascale.com/a/dtd/better-indication-of-port-conflict-that-keeps-pbx-from-running/100151-11275
pbx support
I think the error application level error log is much better than learning how to use the windows event viewer. Anyways, in the future versions, PBX does not crash, but it keeps retrying the ports every 10 seconds. This will allow you to close the "other" program and continue with the PBX.
