bimbam
Hi, I'm using snomone version 2011-4.2.0.3981 (Linux). The latest firmware of my linksys spa942 allows me to connect the phone over tls. but this is not working. I have no problems connecting it with udp or tcp. Do i have to install a certificate on the phone? other phones (snom300) do not have problems connecting to TLS) is it still supported in the latest version of snomone that other phones than snom can use tls? thank you! pbx support
The snomONE PBX has built in certificates(Admin->Setting->Certificate page) that are used for TLS communications. These built-in ones work only with snom phones. For the other phone's TLS to work, you need to import the certificate to the PBX. In any case, I would upgrade the PBX to .4025 version (http://wiki.snomone.com/index.php?title=Release_notes)
Vodia PBX
As the phone is the TLS client you must either turn off certificate checking on the phone or import the snom Root CA (snom ONE built-in certificates are usually derived from that, at least when you are using snom ONE blue/yellow/green/white/purple and so on). Alternatively, you can purchase a certificate for the PBX and import it in the PBX; make sure that the phone trusts the certificate issuer. Welcome to the wonderful world of certificates.
