hosted
ok now im testing Polycom650 with G722. I can make a call phone to phone becasue the system does media passthrough. and i can call G711 to G722 (visa versa). I can hear system prompts.. However if i try to call Exhchange 2007. I get no audio.. personally i think G722 is kick ass sounding.
hosted
looks like it might be a trunk issue. I get 1 way audio as well on an outgoing call (to a ulaw provider) in the SIP message, i see that it use the common codec ulaw. But 1 way audio. However an incoming call (direct or via exchange) I get 2 way audio. so outgoing via G722 isnt working. (even though it uses G711)
Vodia PBX
G.722 isn't G.722... Polycom also uses G.722.1 ©, which is not compatible with the good old G.722 that the PBX supports. Maybe there is a problem (what is in the SDP)?
hosted
So what your saying is i am not connecting with G722? guess i should have looked at that as well. I can leave a trunk with any phone except P650. Ill check the SDP on monday.
Vodia PBX
So what your saying is i am not connecting with G722? Well, the PBX should always negotiate the good old G.722... But the SDP trace should make that more clear.
