There is a setting called "soap_mailbox_file", try setting this to your SOAP server like http://1.2.3.4/soap.asp. The file notification is essentially "as is", the only link to the call is the call-id. But if you choose a file name that contains the information that you want it should be no problem pulling out that information.

is the mailbox_file for when you hit the record button on the snom?

im trying to collect the other recording.. ie.. all outbound phone calls that are logged to the /recording directory

No, this is just about recordings.

Either pressing the record button or matching the DTMF sequence for starting recording. You should get all recordings, either user-initiated or automatically recorded or just mailbox recordings.
