jimsworld Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 Hi, We are considering moving (upgrading) to Coma Berenicids in the near future from 2011-4.3.0.5021 (Mac). One of the perceived benefits is better support for mobiles and the ability to use phones such as the Snom720. However on our dev rig running Apple Mac Lion server and 2011-4.5.0.1050 Coma Berenicids (MacOS) we find that we can not provision the Snom720 phones. We can however provision Snom320. The logging on the PBX (level 9 for Web Server and PNP events) shows the following; [8] 2012/04/11 11:06:08: TFTP: Request for snom720-0004137006D0.htm from 192.168.30.168:16664 [8] 2012/04/11 11:06:08: TFTP: extracted MAC address 0004137006D0 for IP 192.168.30.168 from ARP table [8] 2012/04/11 11:06:08: TFTP: finding snom720-0004137006D0.htm for vendor snom, MAC address 0004137006D0 [6] 2012/04/11 11:06:08: TFTP: File snom720-0004137006D0.htm not found [9] 2012/04/11 11:06:09: Remote site 192.168.30.168 closed the connection [9] 2012/04/11 11:06:10: Last message repeated 2 times [5] 2012/04/11 11:06:10: Web Server: File snom720/snom720-firmware.htm not found The log on the phone shows the following; 1/1/1970 00:00:39 [NOTICE] PHN: Setting server received via DHCP: pbx.wan3.com 1/1/1970 00:00:39 [NOTICE] PHN: Fetching URL: tftp://pbx.wan3.com:69/snom720.htm 1/1/1970 00:01:09 [NOTICE] PHN: Tftpclient: Request timed out and failed! 1/1/1970 00:01:09 [NOTICE] PHN: Config setup: return code 408; requeueing >http://192.168.30.2:80<;'>http://192.168.30.2:80<; attempt: 1, state: 32 1/1/1970 00:01:12 [NOTICE] PHN: Config setup: try to handle an invalid URL >192.168.30.2<. pbx support Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 v4.5 should allow you to configure the 720 phones. Do you have any customization done on the html or the pnp file? If you have, please back them up(for later use) and revert everything back to default. Also, the 720 phones come with built in certificates that are trusted by the PBX. So, whether the phone in the LAN(same network as the PBX) or WAN (different network), you should be able to perform the PnP. On the PBX, turn off the "Admin->Settings->PnP: Trust MAC address" and reboot the phone. Quote
Vodia PBX Posted April 11, 2012 Report Posted April 11, 2012 WHat is in the "generated" folder? The link http://pbx.wan3.com/snom720.htm does not work, it needs to include the "prov" folder in the pathname (e.g. http://pbx.wan3.com/prov/snom720.htm). Quote
jimsworld Posted April 17, 2012 Author Report Posted April 17, 2012 thank you for the two replies and sorry for the late response, but i have been out of office. Will look to try both suggestions today and get back to the forum with the results. jim Quote
