JTEL
Hi, Does anyone know of a way i can record remotely a IVR? I am trying to setup a message that when you call in you can listen to it, but i want the administrator to be able to call the main number and rerecord the main message at any time. Any suggestions, i would appreciate it. Thanks,
Vodia PBX
You mean in the auto attendant? That can be done with *98<AA-Number>. If you are calling from outside, you need to make it either into the private virtual assistance for your cell phone where you can dial a number (incl. star codes) or go to your mailbox. In the mailbox main menu, you can also dial star codes.

I tried calling in and going to my voice mail, and dialing *98ext it didn't work.
Vodia PBX
Oh forgot to say: *98<ext>#; the # terminates your entry.
JTEL
Oh forgot to say: *98<ext>#; the # terminates your entry. I tried calling into my voicemail, as well as my auto attendant. No luck. Says this extension number does not exist.
Vodia support
Make sure that you have permissions to record on the IVR "Accounts that may record a message:" 1. Make sure your extension is paired up to your cell phone. 2. Set "When this cell phone calls the PBX" To offer the AA. 3. When you call into the system choose option 3 to go to the mailbox. 4. Press the * asterisk and it will bring you to the general mailbox "This is main menu of the mailbox" Press the * asterisk again. 5. Dial *98745 "745" being the IVR then press the # button to initiate the command. The system will ask you to record your message.
