McFone Posted August 21, 2013 Report Share Posted August 21, 2013 Hi,we try to forward calls when busy to a Park Orbit.The idea is the secretary is on the phone and have a second call and through the busy flag forward this call to a park orbit and a other employee can pickup this call. Allstate Computers Posted August 21, 2013 Report Share Posted August 21, 2013 I've never tried to forward a call to a park orbit, but to solve your particular problem, I'd use an agent group. I would have the incoming call ring a hunt group with the receptionist in it say 20 - 30 seconds with the final stage set to go to the agent group. The secretary does not want to interrupt the existing call. Hmm, would the setting redirect on busy not do that? For people with a lot of calls, it should be rather a ACD (with the extension as the only agent in it), so that callers can be lined up for later pickup.
