Cannot provision Cisco phones

I'm trying to configure the following three phones, but none of these pick-up the provisioning information while on booting up. Using Vodia 5.3, Windows.

SPA504G

SPA525G

 

When I go to Setup devices in LAN, nothing shows up. Tried the same for Grandsream phones, and these correctly picked up the provisioning information. My test bed was the following:

 

Vodia 5.3 (WIN)

connected to a router (Linksys) 192.168.168.x

PoE switch connected to router

SPA509G powered by switch

SPA504G powered by switch

SPA525G powered by switch

 

There aren't any other devices on this test LAN.

Is the server plugged into the router or the switch? Plug it into the switch if it is not.

I was able to provision them using Boot 66. Thanks

But just an FYI, the phones do not work under the Find on Lan option. Nothing shows up there. They provision by manually putting the MAC under the extension, and opening it for MAC based provisioning. Guess that'll do.

What are the first 6 digits of the MAC? Cisco keeps adding more MAC, kind of hard to follow. We need that to filter out VoIP phones in the LAN, otherwise your new printer would show up in the list.

Indeed a company like Cisco goes through OUIs like toilet paper, socks and underwear. It would be so much more efficient if there was a file to edit that contained the list of OUIs or better a text field that we could just enter the OUI to search for. Just my 2 cents.
