Many of my users have been complaining that the beep coming through for the call waiting is very loud, is there a way to decrease the volume or change the beep? Thanks in advance. Guest Pats Posted June 3, 2008 Report Share Posted June 3, 2008 I set SNOM phones in my lab with volume sets to max. I make this test; I can hear a very loud beep. But when I adjust/decrease the volume, it sounds fine. I would suggest that you may need to adjust/decrease the volume of the phone for the people who have the loud beep. olecoot Posted July 9, 2008 Report Share Posted July 9, 2008 I would try looking at your configuration file/files for the phone itself. We had a similar issue with our Polycom phones and we were able to turn the beep on or off on a per phone basis by changing the value on the variable.
