  1. I Know some PSAP's (Public Safety Answering Points) will ask you to call a non Emergency number and schedule a time to test 911
  2. version 4.0 has a ? button that brings up the support site using Google Chrome, when you add an extension, if it already exists on the domain, it will tell you as soon as you go to the next tab, which I wish it also does it on IE FF etc
  3. now when i get a incoming call, the name is used from the address book
  4. Edit the trunk your using and set the Rewrite global numbers to use 11 digit format I believe that should do it
  5. our 4.0 server also got attacked by the SAME IP after 5 attempts the PBX DID in fact block out that IP
  6. updated to the latest version and the call waiting issue is no longer here
  7. version 4.03 we are hosted, we normally don’t have many requests for MOH's per customer.. very few have asked for their own MOH (which are Advertisement MOH's)

    EPID

EPID - works very good with Enable911 This is very useful if you have remote employees, and multiple offices that on default all display the company’s main DID as the ANI and you would like the 911 dispatcher to call back the actual extension that called 911, not just the main business number which when being called will be an IVR or after hours greeting etc What you need to do is 1) Create a trunk that you're going to use for 911 calls and on that trunk set the option of Generate unique extension identifier to Yes 2) Under the extension account go to registration and in the EPID window there should be a 10 digit number, if its empty then put in a * and save it and it will automatically generate the 10 digit EPID 3) Go to your dial plan and set a high preference that when dialing 911 it should use the trunk you just created Now here is how Enable911 makes use of the EPID: When you call 911 the call goes thru their switch and they attach a temporary DID to that EPID number, and that number is being displayed to the 911 dispatcher taking your call. they don't know your EPID number only the temp number that Enable911 attached to the EPID When the 911 dispatcher calls you back on the Temp DID number from Enable911 it will ring to the EPID number and ring directly to the extension with that EPID number I apologize if I didn’t come out clear with instructions, but wanted to get this out since I know some of you were waiting for it. Once I get time ill make it real nice. I am willing to help anyone out who needs help

  13. i know its in 3.4 maybe it was also in 3.3 Ill post a new topic on how EPID works within the next few days
  14. We would like to use the MP20x for faxing and for using plain old cordless phones with the PBX we have the MP203B for use with faxing and the MP202 for the cordless phone, unless if a MP202 can be used with faxing as well you seem to be a Audio Codes Expert!
  15. Silence on the active call as the CW caller is calling in If I am on the phone (using the Audio Codes) and I get another call coming in, I won’t hear the person I was talking to for a few seconds (its right after I hear a tone letting me know I have a call waiting, and its until I hear the 2nd tone letting me know I have a call waiting)
  16. "Call Back" works when extension 1 calls extension 2, and asks to have call back instead of leaving a message, then when extension 2 has activity on a call (usually when extension 2 makes a call or takes another call) after that call extensions 1 phone will ring, when extension 1 picks up it will be given the prompt to press 1 to call back or 2 to cancel the call back, if you choose 1 it will call extension 2, if you choose 2 it will disconnect the call
  17. It worked excellent! Now how do we correct the issue that when call waiting comes in, there is silence for 5 - 7 seconds
  18. I've used Wavepad for all our IVR editing, excellent tool i wish i can find a tool to replace the expensive voice talents
  19. now i need to figure out what i did wrong as soon as i get back into the office, its the first thing on the list, ill give it a shot! thanks so much sir!
  20. looking in the call logs i see a call to @? who is @? 2009/09/08 15:04:43 Office Phone (454@company1.sip.com) @ connected
  21. the person your calling, is it another PBXNSIP set up?
  22. I had also submitted a ticket with the trunk provider and this is what they are advising me, seems same as you suggested. My questions is: what do I loose by setting it that way? what’s the drawback? Your system is sending 183 Ringing. 180 Ringing indicates that the Carrier will play the ringing tone. 183 Session Progress indicates that YOUR system will be playing the audible ring. We do not know why you sending 183 Ringing (This is not the way most systems present), but our underlying carrier seems to be expecting YOUR system to send a ringing tone because of the 183 message type. Since you do not send any SDP data in your message, there is no audio. Please change your message response to 180 Ringing or 183 Session Progress, or provide a wireshark trace that shows your PBX is sending a ringing tone on the 183 Ringing.
  23. is the 1st account the call is going to a hunt group?
