  1. >>Its meant for announcements.

and at the moment it is a useless setting because it auto answers all calls automatically.

(like giving all your customers/vendors/worst enemies a "bug" into your company ;-)

  2. i'm not sure how that is happening. It isn't on my unless you have the phone set to intercom answering mode. (not sure that is the right languague)

    no repeaters available is true.

  3. currently the m9 has lots of issues---but none you mention! a new FW is on way this week. (these expectations have been set before so we'll see)

-accidentally pressed DND?!! on mine i currently have to press in a PIN to changed DND! ;-)

-there is a setting in the m9 to automatically answers calls as intercom (i think that is the languague) turn it off.

  4. What you need is very dependent on what you want to achieve.

snom ONE can be run using a PSTN Gateway and regular telco phone line.

You can also just use SIP trunks.

And yes, it can be run on a PC running snom ONE. (or...there is a snom ONE appliance as well..)

  5. you can blame snom ONE for some things, but not being too picky about what is typed in a field!! ;-)

snom ONE is the "wild west" in this respect. (with all due respect) And this capability is a "doubled edged sword".

Anyway, the point that validation can be changed/or xml edited does provide a work around to what I would expect is a somewhat esoteric situation.

  6. Would like to write a client for snom ONE for several platforms:

    -Windows

    -Windows Phone 7

    -

Functionality we would like to include in initial version:

-Presence (idle, on call, ringing, dnd...)

-Presence Note (a feature that lets users say what they are doing right now--see Lync)

    -Instant Message

    -Perhaps some basic setting changes.

The Presence note we thought we would just use "Parameter 3" if snom won't consider adding a note field. A note field makes client much more social.

We want to limit what we include so we can get it to market asap and with few bugs.

We think that the client should be great looking, natural to use and be very PC oriented.

Also, we are aware of snom's efforts (maybe we can help? ;-) and want to do it anyway to get familiar with snom ONE developement (to help clients) We normally do stuff in .Net.

We've already written an app we call "snomONE monitor". This app shows current calls and allows us to trigger action based on pbx events. For example: if a certain extension is in a call for more than xx minutes hangup the call. (the exact use case is when snom PA1 doesn't hang up after a call for more than 1 minute, hang it up!! appears to be a snom pa1 issue... actually it also emails that it did it too) This app could easily be extended to watch for more events. (say: if callcenter extension xx goes into a call, connect manager in listen in mode?; if service flag xx is turn on, change another service flag...you get the idea)

  7. i have importet over 13000 addresses manual with the webinterface into snomone - works great! :-)

but i would like to automate this - our customers get more and more every day, so i would like to import my csv file which i get from our erp system into snomone daily.

is it possible to import a csv file into snomone without going through the webinterface?

I'm sure it can be done via web service. I would have to talk to our developer for specifics.

But 13,000! why? that might cause some issues with performance.
