melanc Posted June 10, 2020 Report Posted June 10, 2020 Hi I am new to Vodia. I installed Vodia on AWS. But i haven't install any certificates yet. I used vodia mobile client and windows client to make calls. No issue. But when i use web base client, i can not hear RBT or ringing when i dial out. It looks like no RTP /signalling towards to PABX. I don't believe issue was on AWS access ports. Because i can use mobile client and windows client without any issue. Already open port 80/443 as well. Please show me some direction to troubleshoot this issue. Quote
Support Posted June 10, 2020 Report Posted June 10, 2020 Hi, 1. We suppose you're using https for the user portal 2. Is the mic / speaker access been allowed to the user portal (via the pop up options that it gives) ? 3. Are you able to hear the other party and calls are being completed fine? 4. Please switch to incognito window on Chrome to try this too. You can always generate ringbacks from the trunk settings if the Trunk isn't providing it, from under our trunk settings. Quote

Vodia is setup on aws. This is where your issue lies. You have to be on https, and it will work thereafter. Quote

Guest Cesar Posted July 7, 2020 Report Posted July 7, 2020 hello!! it happens to me the same or worse, since I have SSL certificate and a dedicated domain for these tests. The call does not even work between 2 web clients. when I click to call another the UI simply does nothing. Already discard the browser and operating system. the truth is that the implementation of this pbx has been frustrating, which supposedly looks very simple. any ideas if this is known bug? Quote
Vodia PBX Posted July 7, 2020 Report Posted July 7, 2020 If there is a "green" icon next to the address and your PBX operates on a "routable" address, it should work with all browsers. Some browsers have special flags that allow exceptions, for example to allow WebRTC on insecure connections like http. After uploading a X.509 certificate, many browsers still keep the old certificate in the cache. In such cases "F5" is often not enough to refresh the cache. If the iOS also rejects the certificate, well then there must be something wrong with the import or the name of the certificate. The internet is full of forum questions around certificates (not only on the Vodia PBX)... The easiest is to use a lets encrypt certificate where this is all done automatically for you. Quote
