andy
Upgraded today from 4.3 to 4.5 by replacing pbxctrl.exe. The log produces many error messages like these (see below). The PBX seems to work anyway but it' still not really nice. Vodia PBX
Did you edit the dictionary? If not, try to reset if from the web interface.
andy
I did not edit the dictionary, but I tried to reset it anyway. This did not help. After about 60 sec. the log's filled again with error messages starting with "Dictionary". I have a full backup from last december. Is there a way to copy the missing files from somewhere into the installation? I would not like to start with a complete new setup.
pbx support
Do you have any files customized? I am surprised that you are seeing that error. We have several 4.3 to 4.5 upgrades and did not see this error.
andy
I did not customize the interface, because our staff does not use the web interface at all. It's all set to SnomOne's defaults.
andy
Another hint: Some pages don't look right. There are checkboxes with no description. May this helps to find the problem.
Vodia PBX
You do have a problem with the dictionary. If you really did not do any customizations, just remove (or rename) the directories html and webpages. After this, you'll have to restart the PBX. andy
This did it. Problem solved. directories was not present, but webpages. I deleted the latter and no error messages came up any more. Thanks.
drhbrn
Howdy folks, i encountered the same issue upgrading from 4.3 to 4.5, i did search the forums and the web for another day regarding information on how to reset/remove the templates/dictionary, however couldn't yet figure it out completely, then i came across the latest release v. 5.0 of snom one, i did upgrade and the issue remains. i locate/find- searched the filesystem for .js/.htm files etc, they are neither under /usr/local/snomONE/ nor anywhere else in the filesystem (however the backup of 4.3 does not include any such files either), so my question would be what to do to actually regenerate those files since an upgrade won't do, i really would like to not reinstall the whole system just because of this minor bug. i am running snomONE version 5 on debian squeeze (Linux snom 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem), initially downloaded the old version 4.3 as *deb installed via dpkg, as well as an upgrade found only over the wiki to 4.5 usin the *deb package, and upgraded to 5.0 using the upgrade/xml variant. any pointer appreciated. (please include relative urls for anything regarding the interface if possible, making it easier to load the page adhoc since it's partially not rendered properly ..) Vodia PBX
Did you change any of the templates or do you have content in the html directory? That would be my first guess. Otherwise give us remote access (private message), and we'll take a look around.
drhbrn
as later pointed out by the admin via private message, there's also a "webpages" directory (a user pointed out in a previous post also, but i didn't really realize, thus i just answer for clarification and misreading habbits for future users , in case someone has a similar issue, check whether an directory called "html" or "webpages" exists (on linux it's located at /usr/local/snomONE), remove the folder(s) and restart snomONE. FYI, there was no such html directory on debian linux and it's proper build/install, neither version 4 or 5 includes it. (topic should probably finally prepend a [solved] to the topic now cheers
Vodia PBX
Yea... The webpages give customers a large degree of freedom for customization--however when upgrading the system the pages get stuck at the last edit. That is a problem. Merging would be the solution, however it is not trivial.
