  1. I think i figured out what the problem is.

You need to have the same SIP and Web password on the snom ONE for the UC Client

If you have different passwords, it wont work because the UC Client downloads the Contact list using the web password.

There is no other version of AttendedConsole.exe running at the same time or before I start the UC client. I changed the passwords to match and that didn't change anything. Wouldn't making the passwords the same make the SIP password less secure being both the password for the web interface and the sip client?

As a note, on my main computer it completely locked up the system when I installed it and when it updated. Currently it locks up on some UC client boots also. The laptop does not have the lock up problem. (Both are 64 bit Win 7)

Are there any other prerequisites besides:

    Windows 7

    Visual C++ 2010 Runtime Libraries (x86)

    Windows Installer 4.5

    Microsoft .NET Framework 4 (x86 and x64)

    .NET Framework 3.5 SP1

    Thank you,

    Steve

  2. Can you verify that your UC Client is registered? Do you see a green icon at the bottom left with label "Registered"?

The Other Contacts list should be populated with the Accounts configured on your snom ONE. The Frequent Contacts gets populated by adding a Contact from the Other Contacts to the list by right click on a contact and then clicking "Copy to Frequent Contacts".

Call History should be populated with your incoming/outgoing calls.

The Messages play and delete buttons right now dial into the mailbox. With the newer version of the snom ONE, you will be able to directly listen to the voice message (without dial-in) and also delete it the same way.

It says registered. When I look at the log it downloads my contacts and call history it just isn't displayed in the client. If I press the arrow down for the all contacts, the menu expands but no content. I checked the prerequisites and everything is installed. I have also tried it on my win 7 laptop with the same results. Could it have anything to do with the first attendant console or the m9 softphone being previously installed? I canb take a log for you, just tell me what settings you want.

  3. my first Snom One install was with a sangoma 101 without echo cancellation, it was swapped out 3 weeks later. well worth the money

I went with a Sangoma Vega100 VS0154 and was very impressed with it. This appliance was about $100 more than the card with echo cancellation at my cost but if the main PBX ever had a hardware failure I could just restore a new one from a backup and not have to worry if the T1 card was affected by the main pbx's hardware failure. Plus it is about a 5 minute setup for the appliance once you know how.

  4. Can you guys give the latest beta a shot:

    http://downloads.snom.com/firmware/UCClient/publish.htm

I downloaded and installed it. It registered up great and shows good progress! I am currently running PBX 1075. Here is what I have noticed:

    Calls - Works as described!

Phone - Pad works when in call, no problem. I only wish it would pop when a call is made.

Messages - Play dials voice mail normally. If you are dialed in and listening to a voice mail and press the x button, it dials the voicemail also and both calls talk simultaneously. Is the X button supposed to be delete?

Frequent Contacts - I don't know how this works. It doesn't correspond to my extensions address book, is there something I need to do here?

Other Contacts - See Frequent Contacts

    Call History - Not working

Good progress guys cant wait for the finished product!

  5. This is the part where "snom is discussing internally how to proceed. There is a solution on the table, but not available yet" comes in handy ;)

Jokes apart, we want to support everything that the pbxnsip version did, but make it a license option.

I would be one happy customer if you did this. Some jobs I have to bid a lesser system in because it will match the phones the customer wants. I for one hate this because, like today, I had a service call to change two phones around on another brand pbx when I had a long trip out of my main service area already scheduled for a different job. If it were a snom system I could have easily walked them through the process over the phone or done it remotely because of the ease of use. This was proven by walking a customer through a setting up a service flag over the phone late this afternoon. 5 minutes later a happy customer.

  6. When you say registration restrictions on third party have been lifted, does this mean we can rigister 20 3rd party on yellow and unlimited on blue? The main snom website and wiki still has 10 on yellow and 40 on blue. I would like an answer from snom personel in regards to this, IMHO arguing with another member that doesn't work for snom doesn't answer anything :)

  7. I don't see to be getting very far with my Plug and Play issue. I guess I need to check 2 things first:

    1) Are my Snom phones broadcasting multicast?

    2) Is my Snom One Soho listening?

    1) Well, since I am using more than one phone and they running on the lastest firmware (8.7.3.7) I think it is safe to assume

the issue is not with the phones.

    2) I have selected the SIP Multicast option however I would like to see that it is on in one of the event logs. So far I have not been able to find

'Joined Multicast' to confirm it is on.

The third possibility is that my LAN is preventing the mutlicast from working. Can someone help me in checking this possibility?

    What router are you using?

  8. I am having the same issue with two of my SOHO's, the common issue between them is the ASUS router with Tomato USB. The SOHO is getting the google IP but cant reach it. I think the router is having an IPv6 issue. If I manually assign the IP of smtp.gmail.com (173.194.77.109) it works, at least until the IP moves :)

Is there a way to only request the IPV4 address through DNS until I can get the IT person that installed the routers out there?

    Thanks guys!

  9. All,

We have a new version of the attendant console ready for beta. This is a Windows only application. Please take a try it out and provide us feedback.

The details and download links can be found here - attendant console

    thanks

    snomONE team

I got it to work! It would not work until I installed the m9 soft phone which downloaded and installed the visual C++ information.

I like the look and feel!

One thing I noticed was that when I dial a number from the console the computer dialed the number and not my desk phone, is this standard behavior? Is there a way for us to set which way we want to dial, soft phone vs desk phone.

A couple things I was wondering:

Will we be able to drag and drop calls or transfer in a later release.

Will we be able to see incoming calls and pick them up?

What does the phone keypad do?

Thanks guys and keep up the good work.

    --Steve

  10. I wish I could give you positive feedback on this but IMHO it simply doesn't work. Here are my experiences:

1st install, the console will launch on one windows 7 machine but it will not log in to the server. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the software but the old settings keep coming back and cannot change them.

So I tried installing on another Windows 7 machine (64 bit) and it crashes before it loads. I tried re installing .net 4 client but it still doesn't work. Here is the problem signature:

I really want this to work as my clients keep asking for it.

  11. Thank you very much! I must have glanced over the warning for the proxy so my mistake, have added that in now and will do some tests to make sure it still works. That must have been it as there weren't any registrations against any extensions while the calls were taking place. I will reset passwords again but I believe they're all strong, rather safe...

    Thanks again!

Go here and set the password length to 12 or higher and include punctuation. An example produced would be 644eYaneCa$r which would take a PC about 5 million years to decode per this site.

  12. That is peculiar. What version of the phone firmware are you running? What version of the snomone?

It sounds like the call waiting dialtone is on. You can add the line <cw_dialtone>off</cw_dialtone> to the snom_3xx_phone.xml and see if that works. Before doing that, login to a phone and change it manually under adavanced-->audio-->Dial Tone During Hold. Change it to off and see if that solves your issue.

  13. Hmmmmm.....do you have access control setup to ban ips that are trying to crack your system? It sounds like what happened to a pbx from another vendor. It didn't have any protection and when a hard attack came all the voice prompts would slow down. All regular conversations were OK but just system stuff had the problem. Have you run wireshark to see if something is sending way too much traffic to the pbx?

  14. snom one free is 5

    snom one yellow is 10

    snom one blue is 40

bottom right hand corner "other SIP devices:"

    http://www.snom.com/en/products/ip-pbx/snom-one-blue/

They specifcally state 20 for yellow on the 2nd reply in this previous Post. The post is for Beta Corona Austrinid release and leads me to believe there may be changes to blue. I wonder if the info on snom's website is wrong or the post.

Another post that says the restriction has widley been removed: Post 2

  15. 40

snom ONE blue supports up to 40 of the following devices:

    ATA – For fax

    SIP video cameras

    Door entry systems

    Conferencing

    Soft phones

I thought they removed this from yellow and blue and are only limiting free to (5) 3rd party extensions. If not, I would like to know what this is as it can really effect some bids out there.

  16. So I am installing a new snomONE server with a Sangoma Vega 100 appliance next week. My distributor is really nuts about this appliance so I am going to use it. Has anyone else used these gateways and have any tips?

  17. Tried disabling recording did not help, system resources are very low, however snom one slowed down, both recordings and web interface.

Have you tested your ram or hard drive? Does the rest of the server work ok?

  18. Hello,

The latest 4.5 snomONE version(Delta Aurigids) has been released. This version is built on top of the Coma Berenicids.

The release notes and the download links can be found here - Delta Aurigids

Note: This is snom ONE release (i.e., not applicable to pbxnsip customers).

Thank you for the continued support.

    The snomONE team!

I noticed that adhoc call recordings are only available in the user login not on the CDR. If we set calls to automatically record, they show up in the call log for that cdr. Is this a bug or was it done that way on purpose?

  19. ok, thats what i needed to know. I'm still locked out of one Soho, but my second one is working fine. Instead of setting a static IP address in the soho itself I bound its mac address to a fixed IP in the router itself, that seemed to work and helped avoid locking myself out of another soho. I did order a console cable for the one I am locked out of so we'll see how that goes when I get that. Thank you for your help!

Did you set up access control to ban failed attempts for seven days? I have been locked out of my PBX before but only for an hour or two.

  20. I would get this error if the port didn't have dial tone. Check for dial tone on port 1 first...and I have some notes below:

You have the gateway set to dhcp and the server set to services.alabu.com 5060.

I would first give the adapter a static IP (if it doesn't have a dedicated DHCP address, something like 10.0.0.41 255.255.255.0), and I see you have the PBX pointing to an internal IP for the gateway so I assume the internal IP of the PBX is a 10.0.0.x IP? Point the gateway there.

You seem to have set up an identity:

    interface sip IF_SIP_1

    bind context sip-gateway GW_SIP_ALL_LINES

    no early-connect

    early-disconnect

    route call dest-service HUNT_FXO

    remote services.alabu.com 5060

    address-translation outgoing-call request-uri user-part fix 10002 host-part to-header target-param none

    address-translation incoming-call called-e164 request-uri

    location-services LS_ALL_LINES

    identity 10002

I don't know what this does but my setup didn't have it. If the above steps didn't work, try deleting the 10002 from both areas.

Everything else seems to be the same way I set my config file up.

Also, set the Explicitly list address for inbound traffic in the PBX trunk after you get it up and running, if you don't it leaves the system open for someone else to use try and use your PBX.
