Vernon
Has anyone had luck integrating the GAPS with Snom? I was trying to integrate it via the Phones -> Settings -> Provisioning Server Redirection section with the username/password for the account. Tried inputting a MAC for one of the grandstream phones on a test extension but it didn't seem to create any records on GAPS. I was testing this on the 56.0 release of Vodia. Vodia PBX
GAPS with snom? You mean GAPS with Grandstream? We have added that, however it is kind of hard to use because the devices first have to be assigned to the reseller on the GAPS side which kills the purpose. We are working on a change that uses a special GAPS feature to avoid that.
Vernon
Yeah i meant GAPS with the Snom PBX not with the phones . I had the same scenario of having to add the MAC's into the GAPS beforehand. Thank you for taking the time to respond, i guess you and i had similar experiences with it. I'll be on the lookout for when the special feature hits.
McFone
Hi, is it now possible to configure a Grandstream directly with the Vodia to use the redirection service or do you still have to go via the GAPS? Generally we use Cisco SPA 122 as an ATA FAX gateway but here we can't go through a redirection service and and we think we can use Grandstream's ATA HT80x , the ATA are OK has anyone experience with it? Support
Hi, Do you mean if we have settings to for "redirection provisioning server" on the PBX itself? Then yes we do and you can find it on reg_pnp_settings.htm page. It looks like below.
McFone
thanks for answer If the process works like snom, enter a MAC address on the extension and it will be routed to vodia by the redirect service. I read that you first have to store the MAC address in the portal at Grandstream and then you can do a redirect.
Support
Hi, Firstly you will have to contact Grandstream (or whoever you bought the phones from) and get the credentials for the using the GAPS and then provide those credentials on the PBX in the page seen above. Then you have to add the MAC addresses of the devices to be tied up with the PBX on the GAPS server, so complete the process.
