Vodia PBX Posted February 9, 2009 Report Posted February 9, 2009 Just curious how others test to make sure the 911 dial plan and emails and all work like they should?(I don't want to be calling 911) The last time I saw a VAR dialling 911 and talking to the officer saying "Hi, we're just installing a new PBX and testing if it works. Have a nice day." No firetrucks showing up in front of the building. Quote

andrewgroup Posted February 12, 2009 Report Posted February 12, 2009 first test you plans with 411, and move up from there, then to the not not so urgent 811 or whatever it may be, and to sound like and old Pro when 911 answers, say "Telephone Man (mam or sir), can you confirm the Emergency address and company name for this call?" pbxuser911 Posted September 11, 2009 Report Posted September 11, 2009 I Know some PSAP's (Public Safety Answering Points) will ask you to call a non Emergency number and schedule a time to test 911 Quote
