hosted Posted June 4, 2011 Report Posted June 4, 2011 am i doing something wrong? why cant a domain admin add a DID (alias) to an extension? Quote
pbx support Posted June 6, 2011 Report Posted June 6, 2011 You are not doing anything wrong. Currently, only system administrator is allowed to assign the DID. Maybe it was done for some reason. We will check with the engineering team and update this forum. Probably, we can make use of "Admin->Settings:allow domain admin to create or change accounts:" field to control this one too. Quote
pbx support Posted June 7, 2011 Report Posted June 7, 2011 It seems like it was done on purpose. Do you really want the domain admin to make DID assignments? Quote
hosted Posted June 23, 2011 Author Report Posted June 23, 2011 yes for sure. especially in a hosted environment. seems silly that a domain admin can delete an extension but cant add a DID.. :/ Quote
Vodia PBX Posted July 6, 2011 Report Posted July 6, 2011 The point is that this gets out of the domain sand box. You could "steal" DID number from other domains. Quote
hosted Posted July 9, 2011 Author Report Posted July 9, 2011 so how is my customer suppost to move a DID from employee #1 to employee #2 ? Quote
tommymtl Posted July 10, 2011 Report Posted July 10, 2011 so how is my customer suppost to move a DID from employee #1 to employee #2 ? Their is legal issues on this I believe... DID can be changed at 3 level, but must be authorized by trunk provider / line provider... I had to fill out forms to get that thing working... Imagine, if you can change it to anything you want... this cam become very problematic... Quote
