SGJ Solutions
I know we have implimenmted T.38 codec detection and passthrough for faxes. But have we done the same for Video yet? The price of video phones are coming down and I know somone is going to ask the question at somepoint. cheers
Vodia PBX
It does not matter if you do T.38 or video - for the PBX it is all the same "transparent" data running through the PBX. The important limitation (at least , today) is that first you need to have a regular audio session before you can re-negotiate the session. hosted
Grandstream 3000's dont work for me. I am using asterisk for them. I did however just receive the new grandstrem BETA pbx. It is suppose to support them out of the box with videomail (instead of voicemail). going to be cool to play with.
shopcomputer
I agree Video support is becoming a must, everyone is asking about it.
hosted
We haven't had any request for video phones. However our company decided to allow people to work from a home office instead of the office. to offset the cost of gas, etc. Anyway they all have Grandstream video phones, and i love being able to see them when we are talking about a project or what not. I was surprised myself how much nicer it is for communications.
