John
Hello, I would appriciate a fast reply on that: a customer bought a Soundastation IP 6000 and wants me to set it up for him. I played with it remotely for a few minutes but I haven't succeded registering it. Does anyone have experience configuring this phone? Which settings I need to adjust to get it registered? Thank you very much in advance, John
Vodia support
Hi, if you can log into the phone then that's a good start. Navigate to SIP 1. Enter your SIP Configuration obtained from your online PBX account. 2. Under Servers, look for Outbound Proxy. "Enter your Your Vodia PBX IP or DNS" Outbound Proxy can be the same. Example: Address: Vodia PBX IP or DNS Port: 5060 Transport: UDP only Local SIP Port: 5060 3. Click on submit 4. Click on Line, Under Line 1, Look for Identification Type in the Following Information in their respective fields:Address: Your Vodia PBX IP or DNSAuth User ID: Your Extension numberAuthentication Password: SIP password of your extension. 5. Under Line 1, Look for Server 1. Type in the Following Information in their respective fields: Address: Your Vodia PBX IP or DNS Port: 5060 Transport: UDP only Register: Your Vodia PBX IP or DNS Press submit. John
Thank you very much, it worked. Note for those with multiple domains: the extension should be in the form extension@domain Regards, John
tobymac
Hi all, We have a client with the same device. I've followed the above settings but cannot get it to provision. Any more ideas? Snomeone 5.3.0, IP 6000 running latest firmware. They also have some Polycom 321 which provisioned without any issues. Regards,
Vodia PBX
If there is only one IP 6000 I would jut get pragmatic and manually set up the device. As with PSTN gateways if there is only one installation in the network, it is not worth it spending too much time to getting that one device automatically provisioned. Plus those conference phones have no BLF buttons, making the setup actually pretty much straightforward. The only thing I would do is set a PIN and a web password, so that bored visitors cannot screw the configuration up.
tobymac
I've tried manual setup but still can't get it to work Regards,
Vodia PBX
The simple SIP registration should be (relatively) easy. You should be able to see the REGISTER packets arrive at the PBX. Make sure that the domain name is correct (do you use the name "localhost" if you have only one domain), does the account name show up in the domain and last not least are you using the right password? tobymac
I found the issue. In the address field in Line 1 you need the full address. For example: User 500, needs to be 500@pbx.example.com Regards,
