semistatic Posted March 1, 2012 Report Posted March 1, 2012 I have the system setup for multicast paging, but none of the phones pickup and hear the page. I've confirmed that the autoprovision setting is in the phone, and that nothing in blocking multicast on the network. Here are my paging extension settings: Streaming mode: multicast Destination: 3* 4* Source: * Multicast-address: 224.0.0.1:4000 Codec: ulaw Record message: live playback Is there some other setting besides "multicast on" and multicast IP address I need to check in the phones? We have 821s, 820s and 320s Thanks, Ryan Quote
Vodia support Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Can you check if the multicast address has been populated on the phone? Advance-->SIP/RTP Quote
Vodia PBX Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 There were bugs in some firmware versions of the phone. The latest is 8.4.35 (see http://wiki.snom.com/Firmware/V8/Features). Quote
semistatic Posted March 2, 2012 Author Report Posted March 2, 2012 The multicast is populating on the phone, and we're on 8.4.35 for the firmware Quote

pbx support Posted March 2, 2012 Report Posted March 2, 2012 Can you run the "route" command and see if there is an entry for multicast? Something like, 224.0.0.0 * 224.0.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth1 If not, please add a route using route add -net 224.0.0.0 netmask 240.0.0.0 dev eth0 Quote
