hi,
Really appreciate that input.

Hello,
I appreciate that feedback.
If there was the concept of an inactive user in pbxnsip, AD could create an inactive user safely. (that would not count towards licensing)
Actually as I understand you could easily "extend" AD with several more objects such as extension number, dialplan and pnp info for each AD user. I think this would be the way.

Anyone have a good source for these?
For a reseller.

Hi,
Is this just a polycom issue?
Because we have snom doing this and i'm pretty sure it's working...

Great work.

But I can't seem to open this doc?

Hello,
Is AD in the plans for the future anytime?
Just talked to a prospect that wondered.

You know i never caught that...but having it correct would be excellent...

Great!
I have to get a demo unit of meetingpoint. tx.

I thot the meetingpoint has snom 3xx firmware? Perhaps not...
I'm very interested in your experience with this product...sometime I want to review one...

When is the "semi-automatic" coming out? ;-) Each client we work with asks for this..(all 3 of them ;-)
In all seriousness it seems like a quick normal request...
Maybe call it "scheduled with override" ability...

laugh! i didn't know about the polling either!
alex, check the pbxnsip v4.0 pictures link in my signature to see this...

I doubt that VPN adds latency. Yes, it might add bandwidth. But encrypting the packet does not mean you are adding latency. Only if you are using TCP-based VPN then the fact that lost packets have to be repeated will add significant delay.
We have a sonicwall tz180 and tz150 doing a hardware vpn. Call quality is excellent as long as we don't run out of bandwidth (which we are).

guess i'll use trusty wireshark. (if nothing in pbxnisp)

thanks.
i set this up today with a client and had bad audio. the problem is too low bandwidth which we will address, but i wanted to make sure other items won't bite me. ;-)
Am i correct in this config we will have 2 audio streams going over our way connection? The extension at the remote location and the gateway?

How advisable is it to try to have a pstn gateway at a location other than the pbxnsip server?
All locations are VPN'd together, but will there be odd issues?

Possible work around? Use Openfire?
matt

Yes i understand it could be a pain.
But how would you do it if you want the pain? ;-)

Is there a simple way to show the codec of current calls inside pbxnsip?
Like Status > Calls?
I'd like to make sure that calls are running g729 for absolute certain.

What is best way to do this?
It appears I can do this using an IVR?

Hello,
With the other windows ippbx software i work with you can address each port on the gateway from the pbx setup.
I think that makes sense.
I hate telling IT guys to go into the patton gateway to config it because it's like an elephant in a china shop...;-)
I'd love to have some way from inside pbxnsip to control outgoing and incoming routes of the gateway.

If NBE wants to be win7 certified they will need 64bit drivers so eventually they'll come.

Is there a way to reboot a group of phones?
in Extension Setup
Posted
Hello,
Does pbxnsip ask "Do you want to reboot the phones with this button?" or does it just reboot them?
