  1. We have tested the 5.1.3 and noticed the fax tones play sometimes during a voicemail message. It is inconsistent so it is difficult to figure out. Anyone else experience this.
  2. We need a different email setup for conferencing. I appreciate your reply, but if you use the same one, that person will get other emails that you dont want them to get, as they are users of the system, not system admins or pbx engineers. Another email address, or have it come from the organizer's email (although that create spam issues as mentoned). Thanks
  3. Thanks for your reply, but this is not a workaround. There is an email inviite and the invitee will likely respond or decline to an email address that has no relationship to the sender. We really need this to be set up.
  4. Please add a line for from email, when setting up a conference. The issue now is that the conference participant declines or responds back to the conference invitation, it will not reach the administrator of the conference. It is a small thing but would make it alot more smooth than it is now. Thanks
  5. This feature worked beautfully in 4.x versions. We are testing 5.x and now we cannot upload a file that was previously downloaded from the pbx but from a different location. We have tried a number of things (renaming, over riding existing file amongst others) and it doesnt work without an error message. Why would change something that worked so flawlessly before. This is very frustrating. How is this supposed to work as there is no reference to it in the manual.
  6. Am i missing something here. We are interested in this topic, but there is nothing to view or read?
  7. Can anyone explain how to present a company wide caller id/telephone number for outbound calling. No indication works on 4.x versions when using the display name and account with the company name/telephone number respectively. I have tried changing custom settings and the best i could do was to present company name with an 000-000-0000 telephone. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
  8. HI, i am very interested in a reply as well as i have not been able to get any further ahead. Thanks in advance.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I was never notified, unfortunately. Regarding your first point, it doesnt roll over immediately as there is no response. I wish it did but it doesnt. Without a timeout value, it doesnt work at all. Regarding your second comment, no one is asking for a fake ring. We are only asking that if the first trunk doesnt work, the backup works as it does with the first. Therefore, the called phone is ringing yet the caller only hears dead air and has no idea the phone is ringing. Regarding your last point, this is not a feature, but some misconfiguration in the sip setup. The trunk misinterprets the hangup as a busy signal. I dont believe this has anything to do with the PSTN, as the PSTN has no knowledge of the trunk failover setup and this only occurs during that setup. It does not happen otherwise. It would be very useful to get this situation resolved.
  10. We have tried using trunk failover for 4.2.0.3981 and never got it to work. We have tried it on 5.0 and it works; however, 1. Rollover doesnt work without a timeout value, which i set at 10 seconds 2. The caller doesnt hear a ring when it rolls over 3. The caller hears a busy signal when the receiver hangs up. Is there a solution for this or it is best efforts.
  11. I am not sure by your response, if you left the actual url as "pbx.company.com" but unless you added an alias ie yourcompany.localurl.com, to the ip of internet connection, it wont work. The registrant will not be able to find the url pbx.company.com as it doesnt exist.
  12. We are currently using version 4.2.0.3981. Are you suggesting that 4.5.1 will get rid of that issue as it must be known as it happens way too frequently. It always works again once we restart the service but there is way too much time being wasted in the process. Please advise.
  13. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a live failover when the pbxctrl.exe stops working. It gets stuck with great regularity and even though we probe it, the service will go down for a minimum of five minutes. I realize that it doesnt sound like much, but our goal is to be up 100% of the time as our customers have long memories. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks
  14. We use + in our dial plans now. Please send your dial plans and we will adjust them to reflect what you need!!
  15. We need a way of letting the customer know that they have no more channels/lines and that the number dialled didnt fail, they ran out lines. Most people would be used to a busy signal from a key system, but with the pbx, they can always dial, but they wont know what happened when the call didnt go through unless they are told.
  16. I really need to be able to control the amount of calls to and from the PSTN. I appreciate where you are coming from, but this is extremely important from a billing perspective. So i have several questions: For co lines as that appears to be the only option 1. I like to use a global trunk for inbound so i dont have to configure a separate PBX, however, will this take into account number of co lines for an account. 2. How does rollover work, for outbound. Do i put the number of co lines there as well. 3. If the call limit is reached on inbound, is there any way to control the sip message rather than being unavailable. Please advise.
  17. Is there any answer for this as it is very important!
  18. Sorry about the last post as i was not clear. The maximum number of calls limits any type of calls and that is not helpful as it will limit the amount of calls within the pbx like pageing, i just want to be able to limit the amount of inbound/outbound calls to the PSTN and give them a a specific message if they are gong over their limit. I dont have any physical trunks just sip trunks.
  19. does anyone have a response to this i really need to understand it as it is not covered in the manuals
  20. The callback function works, you can dial the number and it will dial back if the caller presses 2 from the autoattendant, it will call back. Isnt there a way of calling the system, so the call is not engaged, yet it calls back. I thought that this used to work in earlier versions?
  21. I have experienced the same issue, where the trunk shows as registered even though it is offline and the calls get sent to it. I am using a voipswitch to send the calls and i thought it was an issue with them but it could have been the pbx trunk. I am not sure what Snom thinks about this but you should try avoiding registration and use another form of authentication like a prefix or ip address. It will stop the sending of calls to non-existent trunks and elimination registration issues.
  22. It appears to be some confusion regarding this topic. 1. on the post, you mentioned that you cannot limit external calls, other than using CO lines. Then here is my query? 1. What is the number of calls setting when setting up a domain being used for????????? My experience has been when i set it to two, i can only do 1 call. I have not tried 3 as it becomes difficult, although i would imagine only 3 calls would work, please clarify. 2. Regarding CO lines, i often use different trunks for inbound and outbound calls so how would i limit the calls in that scenario, or do you have to limit this to one trunk for both. This is a very important feature for most ITSP's so we need it to work properly.
  23. I believe we are running Linux Debian or Centos. If the fix differs, i would appreciate both being sent. Thanks.
  24. I have used this setting when setting up a domain. However, when i was playing around with it and set the maximum calls to 2, I could not make or receive another call on the pbx. Is there some other setting i dont know about or is it just screwed up.
