matthewl
It seems on the new version of the UI that we are missing to previous features the search box for accounts (search box on the lfet pane only searches setting options) and import accounts via CSV? Are these intended to be added back in?
Support
Hi, Yes, to not heavily load the PBX with an enumerate search, the search bar looks for all the major settings on each domain and admin level. Adding a feature (not available in previous versions) along with keeping it light was the motive. And, CSV addition back in the new version is being looked into. Stay tuned. Vodia PBX
The latest version also supports searching accounts inside the domain. CSV upload for accounts is a difficult topic. What we need is a bulk import feature from lists; the previous web interface was productive, but hard to get the format right. This time we will try to have a preview and select the fields that should be imported.
netpro78
In version 58.2 I am happy to see that CSV import is back, however it seems to force certain fields. In the old version I could pre-populate items like park orbits, and disable mailboxes. It seems like all of that functionality is now lost, and only certain fields are accepted. I used to use the following format that now does not seem possible: type,alias,ani,password,web_pass,first_name,display_name,mb_pin,mb_enable,picom,orbits
Vodia PBX
Yea, the new import is really just about extensions. The critique on the old way was that it was very difficult to use, so the new one now has a preview and it should cover the most used case: bulk import of extensions correctly. Usually there are only very few ACD or AA to set up, so going through the interface is usually not such a big deal.
netpro78
I really do not care about bulk import of anything other than extensions, however not being able to preset all of the values of the extension is a big step backwards. The number of steps required to click through all of the extensions, set intercom permissions, set park orbits, and enable/disable mailboxes after creation is a huge waste of time. At first I was slightly upset by loosing the ability to create 10 extensions at once in the GUI, however it was more than made up for by the ability to set any extension parameter that I desired via CSV. Now that option has been taken away, I feel like it is just a large step backwards.
Vodia PBX
What fields would you like to import? Maybe we can extend the list if this makes generally sense...
netpro78
Typically I like to be able to create extensions with the following fields prefilled: alias,ani,password,web_pass,first_name,display_name,mb_pin,mb_enable,picom,orbits
ahennis@voicespring.net
Why not just make it so you can set all the fields? It would also be great if we could do bulk modify.
Vodia PBX
Ok next version will also take the old format, as long as it contains "extensions".
netpro78
Perfect, THANKS!
netpro78
I tested this out now that 59.0 has been released, and while it created the extension, it did not take the non standard values like mb_enable;picom;orbits These fields all stayed at their defaults. Vodia PBX
Can you attach an example here what you put into the textarea?

Vodia PBX
ACK. The API call for creating the account had only a limited set of settings that can be written initially. We will add another API call of there are other parameters that need to be set. Should be in the next builds from 59.1 on.
netpro78
Just curious as to when 59.1 for Win64 might be released
Vodia PBX
We'll use 59.1 for daily builds, it'll be 59.2 for a stable build then.
netpro78
Since you are not offering 59.1 for Win64, any estimate of when 59.2 will be released?
Vodia PBX
We are redoing the buttons for all phones, which takes longer than anticipated... It would be NBD to make a 59.1 snapshot, but I doubt you could use it in a production system right now.
netpro78
If the buttons are the only issue then I would like a win64 version since I am currently running 59.0, and not being able to do a CSV import of all extension values is the main problem that is holding me up, and I do not want to downgrade.
