Provisioning for Grandstream GXV3275

How can the Greandstream GXV32xx devices provision on the pbx over WAN? Is manual configuration the only option?

1. Is the Grandstream MAC address set in the user registration "Bind to mac address" ?

2. Did you activate the" open mac based provisioning" on the domain level for the extension?

1. Yes I added it to the registration tab.

2. Yes.

 

I was able to get GXP1405, GXP2140 & GXP2200 working.

The same procedure does not work: GXV3275

What is the pbx version?

 

We introduced grandstream version GXV3xxx in version 5.2.3 on wards.

 

Also we haven't specifically tested it on GXV3275, although we did test it for several other versions like GXV3240 etc.

Is there anything different in this version? Can you let me know which ones have been tested? Also, have they been tested in a LAN topology, or WAN?

By the way, you changed the mac address last 4 digits to xxxx in the logs here right? Originally it was a fully valid mac address of the phone?

Well it works here but we don't have the model you are talking about. Although I don't see why it would be any different.

 

Just to confirm, the phone for example sends a request like:

where 000b82612345 is the mac address.

 

Of course if will be your mac address but just to confirm that it is NOT 000b826xxxxx?

 

Also can you send me what you entered in the phone's webpage setting for provisioning, just to compare?

what template to use for the new GXV3350?  the GXVxxxx or the GXV3240 (older model)

i've not had success with either yet, but maybe you can narrow down my troubleshooting.  am using Vodia65.

I would assume the template grandstream-gxv3275.xml. If you modify the pnp_grandstream.xml like this it should pick it up:

This worked thanks! but inability to add buttons, mac does not populate into a button profile, when looking at the available button templates on Vodia66 the GXV3350 falls right out of company with its brother and sister phones the 3370 and 3380.  Is there a way to tell Vodia to just use a GXV3370 button template since the 3350 is missing - they are the same phone, just different screen sizes but since its VMPK soft buttons i'm sure the phone wont care.

That requires some more changes. If you like try the 66.0.1 build which should have that included now (assuming the GXV3350 also has 160 buttons). After the upgrade, better reset the file that you modified as it includes the fix already.
