the problem is we can park a call using this new park orbit account and a park orbit button on a snom phone, (park orbit button on snom phone indicates fine) but we cannot retrieve the call using the button.
If we type *86 <ext> we can retreive the parked call. If we use the park orbit button the snom phone it just drops the call.
Also, and maybe related:
in the new park orbit account type we can't seem to save a value in:
"Extensions that may use this orbit:"

Actually we aren't looking for a saviour. ;-) We use pattons and are quite happy.
But, yes, it would be nice to have a 1 or 2 port fxo that is really cheap. The only problem is that really cheap usually doesn't = "set and forget" but "install and have an eternal pest on your back" ;-)
The 2 port patton = approx $350. (SN4112/JO/EUI) Because the cost is not that much different we only stock the 4 port at our company. I can recommend patton fully. Excellent product quality and excellent service.
I will post if I find anything low end but I would caution against thinking too cheap. In the end people want something that works day in and out.

so i put in the note field:
"this extension user is a real idiot. please keep an eye on him."
He logs into his user portal...and leaves the company. ;-)
not to mention notes we put in about the ceo... ;-)

you mean "position"? nah nah no. ;-)
consider having a "note" field for each object. I would view them as sys admin notes.

It would be nice to be able to attatch notes to each object in snom ONE.
extension, trunks especially. But if your going to do it across the board would likely be just as easy.
Just a field to type a note in.

We have a site we manage this is experiencing it as well. There are other reports in the wild.
I would be glad to compare notes. One thing I am curious is if our blocked IP list matches yours? I would be glad to swap the entire list we have.
We have been living in the "Access" page in the last days and have noticed some things I will post as a suggestion.

Our research is indicating:
-a SIP brute force Botnet appears to in operation
-It is not a massive botnet, perhaps several hundred bots worldwide (our estimation)
-very few bots in the USA
-user agent = "Asterisk PBX"
If there is anything else that would help anyone, let me know.

It is a different type of attack than I've seen before. Has anyone else?
Also it has been sustained for over 24hrs now too.

the 10 user limit is based on extensions added into the system. not extensions registered (as i understand). For example you could have 10 extension and concievably 2 UA's registered as extension 40 for a total devices of 11 (or more.)
I think (as i understand) the 2 non-snom devices is based on devices registered.

I don't think this is attempted. I think (surmising here) there may be some things snom is still trying to decide. So that may be the reason for unclear communication. My experience from working with pbxnsip is that they are very frank. You may need to talk to them to best answer all your questions.

you will want to use snom ONE free. to drive price as low as possible this is the simple choice. Remember you can't have everything you want and at your price too. ;-) Set some limitations for yourself: we are a 12 person MS gold partner and even we do. We only sell Windows based systems. Before snom set the limitation we only sold snom handsets. To say you will provide the cheapest solution and support everything under the sun isn't realistic. Who can argue with a commercial grade software phone system with 10 windows only softphones for free? ;-)

At our company we always (always) sold pbxnsip Pro Plus licenses. Then you don't have any thing to bite you. As i said before you need to set the boundries of what you do to avoid trouble. ;-)

snom ONE is not a waste of time. We gladly paid $100 per ext. for what we now get for free.
-This product is feature rich, rock solid and secure
-It integrates to MS Lync, Exchange and SQL!
-it run on Windows, Mac and Linux!
-It has a ton of admin features that make it nice to admin
...and...FREE. Wow. ;-)

why not just use a sip trunk if lowest budget is big concern?
then NO fxo is needed...thats even cheaper! ;-)
