  1. Well, the same PBX that has given me problems before, lost a part (Port 5060) of its internet connection yesterday. Happily, after 6 hours, when the internet connection was restored in full everything re-registered without any manual intervention. Version 5021.
  2. If I get to it before they reset it next time I will try that. The DNS issue Bill H came up with may be the problem as this customer has had numerous times where the cable company's DNS servers could not resolve certain websites. I assume I can syslog the PBX logfile to one of my linux boxes at my office, is that correct?
  3. I don't know about the Beta but I have customers on 5021 and if the internet goes out at one of my customers, then comes back some time later, the trunk stays 408 until someone manually clicks the register button. The worst part is I don't get an email in this instance because the PBX also thinks the email has been sent. I will disconnect my company PBX from the network tonight (It has the new Beta) for 15 minutes and see if it reconnects after I connect it back to the network.
  4. Is the PAC getting any closer?
  5. The music on hold in the conference is very good addition but I see a small problem. When one person starts the conference, there is music on hold. When another person enters the conference, no music on hold (good). After the 2nd person leaves the conference and there is only one person left, the music on hold doesn't restart. Can this be fixed or was it by design?
  6. After testing a direct call to the extension, yes I do have the options. Well the hunt groups have all the options for the cell phone usage? It would be nice if a system set up like ours, where the hunt group redirects all the extensions to a cell phone, had the features to transfer. We run into that problem when they are looking for me and one of the other extensions picks up in the field, the customer has to call back.
  7. Hi Guys, I have updated my PBX with new Beta Corona Austrinids and I having a problem with cell phone integration. When I place a call from my extension to the auto attendant, which rings my hunt group (service flag activated), the system does call my cell phone and my extension. When I pick the call up on the cell, I only get press 1 to connect call, I do this which activates the call. If I try to press ## I get the audible DTMF tone but no other menu and the call is still active. I have attached the log. I noticed that it shows 17 call legs? I have installed the new audio prompts. Any help would be awesome. snom2182012log.txt
  8. The wiki pages seem to be broken.
  9. Is there a place where it shows what the $r $d etc stand for? Granted I know what the $r stands for but the rest would be nice..
  10. Cool. Any chance there may be an option for more storage or external storage?
  11. snomONE mini? Is that a new version of the Soho?
  12. Does that mean that the limitation has been removed for Yellow and Blue or all together for all versions? Is this only for soft phones or all Sip phones? This may be my key to get a customer with some Grandstream phones off their current system.
  13. I am bidding on a project with an existing valcom PA system. I am thinking of using a single port Grandstream or other FXS adapter to tie in to the system. Has anyone done something like this? I was thinking the PA1 but I don't think it will work, has anyone done this?
  14. I was thinking more of on the lines, of hang up after a user defined amount of bad tries and post a message to that user's voice mail inbox that says something like "Your mailbox has been accessed X amount of times from extension number XXX with the incorrect pin and the call was terminated." This would allow the violated user to know the account was trying to be accessed and where it was from.
  15. Does the router support multicast? If so, is it allowing multicast. I have seen a bunch of home/small office routers that have multicast off by default and some don't pass them at all. D-link usually has it turned off by default and the Belkin routers I have seen don't support it.
  16. Send them through the auto attendant, have their phone number recognized by the extension-->redirection on the PBX, set up a Direct Destination number that points to the service flag you want changed. **Make sure that extension can change the service flag. When they dial in, have them press 3 to go to the auto attendant and then they press the number you have set for the auto attendant.
  17. I was at a customers site that I did the wiring on and their voicemail system (Mitel) left a message for them when it had the wrong pin number on the login attempts. Is this a feature in snomONE that I missed or can it be added?
  18. I think they were referring to the Beta version that is out, did you try that one?
  19. I finally used the Patton 4114 and the install was a dream! Make sure you download the most up to date excel configurator. After the nightmare I had with the Grandstream gateway I was pleasantly surprised with the Patton.
  20. Some residential ISPs (Like ATT wireless) block port 22 may be an additional reason. This is a good thing to remember if you set up your own Linux box.
  21. There also could be a problem depending on your internet providers policy, they may block SMTP traffic on both port 25 and 26 in their effort to stop spam.
  22. I programmed the star codes as a speed dial from the phone so when I placed a new call I could scroll to that parking spot speed dial to dial it.
  23. Last time I used an m9 it has a transfer soft button when in a call, you either have to hit the center button or the menu soft button ( can't remember which) and select transfer. You can transfer to an extension which should allow to transfer to voicemail since you just add an 8 in front of the extension. I set my customer up with a speed dial for *85xxx, had them place the call on hold (or make new call, forget which) and then select the speed dial. I don't have a phone in front of me or I would e more exact.
  24. Is the PC on the LAN your DNS server? The reason I am asking is that I have noticed when I have ran into separate DNS servers on a lan than the gateway (router) all my phones get the primary MAC of the DNS server when they communicate with the PBX. I fixed this by treating the provisioning like being outside of the network and used the client username and password to auto provision instead of the MAC.
  25. Some times it takes the wiki a little time to be updated after the new versions come out. 2011-4.3.0.5021 is a brand new update which has a lot of changes.
